”We had a nice stay in Etna wine country. This property is in the midst of dramatic volcanic rock from the 1983 eruption. The junior suite was oddly designed, with the bed upstairs in a loft area separated from the bath by a very steep, narrow staircase. Inconvenient for elders or anyone who needs to use the restroom at night. ”

”Abbiamo prenotato alle 4 del pomeriggio in giorno infrasettimanale del mese di ottobre, ormai fuori stagione, e dopo mezz'ora eravamo lì. Struttura deserta, nessuno in vista. ”Great staff and facilities the room was spacious and modern, the grounds are meticulously maintained the breakfast choices were broad whether it was a hot or cold breakfast and very thing in between and you could either eat outside next to the pool or inside. ”Il Sentiero was a wonderful surprise. It is a very serene and picturesque agriturismo with tons of olive and lemon trees. Owner/operator Salvo is a very hospitable and lovely person. We chose to eat there each evening, and he never failed to provide us with tasty meals. We highly recommend this place for visitors to the Catania area. It is located about 40 minutes north of the airport, close to an autostrada exit, and is convenient for visiting places such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, and Messina.”

”The agriturismo is situated uphill towards Etna with stunning views to the volcano. It's a winery and we got a private tour from the owner. Great to hear about the wine making process and see everything. There's a nice pool on the grounds and there's a possibility to enjoy dinner at the estate. ”We picked this agritourismo hotel for its proximity to Catania and the airport - as well as its value and good reviews. It is in the middle of nowhere but very easy to find off the A19 because it is well signposted all the way. It is 20 minutes from the airport IF there is no traffic, but it took us 45 minutes because the approach to the airport is terribly confusing and there were long lines of cars. So allow yourself plenty of time. It is an excellent hotel in a rural setting, but so close...
