Luxury Harvard / MIT viktoriaaninen w / off street parking

Hiljattain uusittu viktoriaaninen, jossa on kaikki viktoriaaniset viehätykset, mutta nykyaikainen mukavuus parhaalla paikalla. Kotimme ominaisuuksia perinteiset vuolukivi laskurit ja pesuallas, ylellinen japanilainen kylpyamme valtava sadesuihkukaappi, superautomaatti kahvia, jotta saat aamulla aamulla, ja tonnia charmia. Täydellinen 4-5 aikuiselle +/- lapsille

Kotimme on kahden makuuhuoneen kaunis 128-vuotias viktoriaaninen talo, jota ympäröi kauniisti puutarhanhoito. Olemme viime aikoina suorittaneet laajan remodelingin moderniin tyyliin samalla kun kunnioitamme ja säilyttämällä paljon sen viktoriaanisia elementtejä ja charmia.

Kotimme mukavasti mahtuu 4-5 aikuista. Meillä on huippuluokan queen-size-oleskelun kiinteä puhallettava airbed vieraille lapsille / teini tarvittaessa.

Sisällä meillä on kaksi makuuhuonetta joissa molemmissa queen size-vuoteet ylelliset patjat. Kumpikin tai molemmat huoneet voidaan asettaa niin, että voit olla työtila / toimisto-konfiguraatio, jossa on internet, suuret näytöt, näppäimistö ja hiiri (vain kytkeä kannettava tietokone ja hyvä matka).

Kylpyhuoneessa on upea käsi kuparipyöräinen japanilainen kylpyamme, ja uskomme, että se on vain suurin sadesuihku. ((Kylpyammeen korkeiden seinien takia se ei välttämättä sovi liikuntarajoitteisille)

Kotimme on kadun toisella puolella yhdestä parhaasta juustosta, juuri leivonnaisesta leipää ja ylellisistä ruokakaupoista Bostonissa, puhumattakaan Cambridge. Aivan tien varrella on toinen ruokakauppa, myös koko ruoka on hyvin lähellä. Ravintolat ja muut kaupat ovat runsaasti.

Naapurustossa on yksi alueen halutuimmista, jossa on joitain parhaiten säilyneitä viktoriaanisia koteja missä tahansa. Vain muutaman korttelin päässä on historiallinen Longfellow-talo ja puutarhat, jotka suosittelemme ihmisiä vierailemaan.

Cambridgen ja Bostonin lähiympäristöön pääseminen on helppoa, eikä se voi olla helpompaa. T Stop (Bostonin joukkoliikennejärjestelm��) on aivan kadun toisella puolella, miss�� vaunun kautta voit olla Harvardin asemalla muutamassa minuutissa. T: n avulla voit olla lähes missä tahansa muualla Bostonissa ja Cambridgessä vähän aikaa.

Kehotamme ihmisiä olemaan ajaa Bostonissa ja käyttämään T: tä ja Uberia. Tarjoamme jopa Uber-alennuskoodin, joka antaa sinulle alennuksen ensimmäisestä puhelimestasi ostamastasi Uber-ratsastuksesta (q2bpq).

Great location

We had a nice stay near Harvard Square. Steve was very responsive and helpful. The space is not large and people with mobility issues should know that the shower requires going up a couple of steps to get into the tub. It’s a very well equipped apartment but people should be comfortable using remote controls. Having a parking space was great!

Comfortable space in great location!

My family had a lovely long weekend in Cambridge! The property is well appointed with every amenity needed. The beds are VERY comfortable and the property manager (owner) was spot on with communication. We had a wonderful stay!

Comfortable townhome on bus line

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely townhome. The beds and couch were extremely comfortable and being across the street was super convenient. The host was very responsive and provided a lot of good information. The only thing we didn’t like about the place was the shower- it was difficult to get in and out of and was a little too intense and “complicated” for us. Overall a great stay!

The building is old, the outside shopworn, but the apartment itself is very comfortable and nice. The tub and shower are unusual--and a little hard for people of a certain age to climb into. The location is very good--a nice residential neighborhood with shops and a big park not far away.

Visiting “kids” for early Thanksgiving!

Great location and neighborhood. Steve was a great communicator for check in and out. Amazing neighborhood , great for walking and bike station was right outside, enabling us to bike along the river into Boston. Bed, pillows were very comfy. Fancy , warm bidet features were nice! Would highly recommend !

comfy home and perfect location

This is a comfy and funky little place very conveniently placed. We loved the kitchen and the tub and shower in the bathroom provided us with a lot of fun and relaxation. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was a delight to walk around and Steve was a great host!

Not recommended, not even remotely 'luxury'

I wanted so much to be excited about this place and I was until we arrived. But the minute I got to the door I realized it's not at all how it's represented online. The location is probably the best characteristic - we enjoyed walking around Cambridge, although it's a somewhat long, but nice, walk through the neighborhood to Harvard Yard, and very far from MIT. The place itself is not nice. Don't be deceived by the cute external architecture - the entrance is not even at the front and you don't get to even have access to the front windows or second floor. It's just a rather dilapidated back entrance to a part of the house in the back through the parking space. The kitchen is renovated but dated and dark. The bathroom is really weird - the toilet has a heated seat (which is fine since it was really the only warm thing in the apartment the first day we were there) but weirdly automatic, and the shower is just strange - you walk up some steps into a deep copper box with a very complicated 'rain shower' that took forever to heat up and figure out. The living room was unusable with a very bizarre L-shaped velvet red couch right out of Soviet Moscow. And while the murphy beds weren't uncomfortable, the bed rooms are rickety and oddly furnished. Why is there a swivel desk chair and no desk? The place is just oddly decorated throughout and, as a designer, I can't say it's a cool or creative oddness, it's just odd and mismatched. The towels need upgrading and we were freezing the first 24 hours with no response from the host until the next day. The entrance codes were not listed on the Vrbo app or in the reservation, and they came in an email not through Vrbo but from the host directly and ended up in my spam so I had no way of knowing how to get into the house and the host was not responsive. So in sum, for the very HIGH cost for this location, it's WAY over priced for what you get. Either the price needs to come way down or there needs to be significant upgrades to rationalize the high cost. I don't recommend it until one of those two things happens. There is NOTHING LUXURY about this place.

Great location; quiet neighborhood; comfortable!

We had a great stay at Steve's place - an old, beautiful home with upgrades everywhere. The murphy beds were so comfortable - soft sheets and bedding - and folded down into a large desk (and the monitor/keyboard/mouse attachments were already there!) Beautiful upgraded bathroom and bidet; cosy patios; very clean. The best feature for our trip was the location of the BlueBikes station right outside the door - we biked all over Cambridge searching for housing and only used an Uber to get to/from airport! We will stay again! Host super responsive about storing luggage, codes, etc.

Great Home Base for our Family Trip

Really lovely and charming place to stay, I appreciate honoring the old beauty and modernizing the conveniences we are used to. The bathroom was a true sanctuary- I had to lead a four hour workshop for 240 people, so soaking in that Japanese Tub afterwards soothed my stress. The beds were comfortable, as was the couch, I took a few naps on the couch. The rooms were nice and spacious and our family of four were very comfortable. We didn't cook much, but the home is so centrally located that it's an easy walk and/or an easy uber eats delivery with lots of options. There was clear signage across the unit (that wasn't obnoxious, because I've stayed in places where I felt scolded) and also my favorite part was how responsive our host was. A quick text and a quick answer and also the grace to hold our luggage after check out. Overall, highly recommend and looking forward to our next trip.

Nice quiet location in Cambridge

We arrived on Christmas day via Uber to the property and after figuring out that you enter from the back porch off of the driveway (yes, it was in the instructions), and we were all set for our 1 week stay in the Boston area. Bonus: Steve left us a nice bottle of champagne, which we saved for New Year's Eve. The location is nice and quiet but it seems to have another rental upstairs (just from the amount of people coming in and out of the front door) but they did not bother us. The 2 bedrooms have comfortable queen murphy beds. My daughter slept on the couch but did not pull the couch out to make a small bed. It was nice to have a smart TV to watch after spending the day visiting Boston and the surrounding area. There is 1 bathroom and an awkward sink area, which was a little tough with 2 teenagers but we were able to make it work. Adding a few more mirrors and better lighting in the bedrooms might be a good idea so people could get ready in their room vs. just in the bathroom. Like the description says, it is a 1890's home so you need to treat it with care. It was very warm and cozy but they may want to upgrade the towels, pillows and blankets to make it more comfortable...especially for a visiting family. We rented a car for 2 days so we could visit Newport and Steve was nice to let us park in the space at the home Tuesday & Wednesday evening. One minor problem was that the person who parked in the spot did not get the message so we had to street park until they moved the car. But that was not the owner's fault. The home is in a great location with a Harvard station bound bus stop across the street or you could walk just shy of 1 mile to the Harvard station. We only took the bus a few times and mostly walked everywhere. Super easy with a Charlie pass to get into Boston and we spent the majority of our time in the city. The neighborhood is residential but there is a cute place to get "unfancy" coffee up the street along with a decent pizza place on the other side. We had Chinese our 1st night but since it was Christmas, we had a 2.5 hour wait for takeout. We did not use the kitchen or coffee maker at all but everything you need is there if you want to cook or eat in the home. Overall, we had a great stay and appreciated Steve's hospitality. I'm sure the neighborhood and the home's gardens are spectacular in the summer.

This house was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It fit our family of five great and my kids were enthralled with all the fun gadgets! The location was also great—we walked to several places the first day, but were also able to drive to further locations because it has a parking spot. The owner was very helpful and left lots of information of things to do and how to get there. We had a blast there!
