You can also opt for a quiet stroll or scenic boat ride along the tranquil Monmouthshire and Brecon canal down to pretty Talybont-on-Usk. Head to Llangorse Lake (4 miles), the largest natural lake in Wales, to enjoy a great range of water sports, from kayaking and canoeing to sailing, with equipment to hire on site. The lake is a wildlife haven, so look out for glimpses of otters and water voles.
