Found it easy to check in which was great. Unfortunately the apartment we stayed in seemed very old. Sofa was old and uncomfortable. Kitchen needs updating. Coffee table was tiny. Bed was a little bit too hard. Apartment didn't feel very inviting.

The room was rough around the edges, but what did it for us was the bugs. We checked out after the first night and were told we would be able to get a refund from Expedia. When I got home I contacted Expedia, they attempted to contact the Mgr for approval to refund per their policy but the property would not respond. I did finally get a refund from Expedia, but it took 2 weeks. Don't stay here.

The hotel room looks good, with a washer in the toilet we really appreciate. Cookware is available, but a bit limited (we were three and we had only two dishes to use). Reception staff has a very limited time, sometimes not really helpful. Swimming pool is nice, but the social area is poor (a big empty room). There is a free bus from n. 30 from downtown easy and available till dinner time. I suggest the property to improve the maintenance.

The unit we stayed in was so lovely, clean and modern with an amazing layout. I love the sunken lounge and the view from the 9th floor was beautiful and expansive! Have two rooms was definitely the way to go. I think I would stay there again sometime for sure!

Room was very run down paint peeling off walls and ceiling. There was mould in the bathroom and all prices of furniture were old and broken/scratched to some extent. The carpet was old and very stained including the curtains which looked like they had never been cleaned. There was also marks on most walls. The towels all gave off lint and made it difficult to get dry, the shower and shower screen leaked leaving water all over the bathroom floor after every shower. Overall was not a pleasant stay, at least the bed sheets had no marks or stains.

Another great stay at The Ridge
The Ridge is great - it's clean, the shower although older style, is amazing with such good pressure. The bed was comfy, great firmer pillows (what a relief)!

As someone who was apprehensive given the negativity of some of the previous guests’ reviews, I was really impressed with The Ridge. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and can honestly say that our room was spotless and felt super clean. Yes, the decor is a little dated and 00s esque but for $100ish a night my partner and I were very happy.

The Ridge was great value considering we had a full kitchen, so helpful for saving money in the city. A few things needed a little attention - the lifts were quite random (it took us a while to work out how to get to level 1 for the gym) and we couldn’t actually find the stairs from reception (although we didn’t look very hard). Pool was great. We also got a great city view from the room.

The unit that we stayed is in terrible disrepair, neglected by its owners that in some cases its dangerous, we didn't. mention anything to the management because we were on business and out all day and only came in to sleep..., the bed and linen was good..., this unit will not pass the new Queensland tenancy laws.

It was in a convenient location however the floor in the room hadnt been vacuumed the vents were filthy and the carpet around the hotel had stains everywhere.

Staff are pleasant . Fittings are a bit tired . Can be a bit noisy at night , I had trouble sleeping through . But for the price I felt it was good value . Only a short walk into the centre of town .

It was ok for the price as I only really slept at the hotel, but the decor inside the rooms is old, dated and the rooms were filthy, stains all over the carpets, handle missing from the shower screen door, would not stay here again. Only real plus was the French lady on reception was really nice, friendly and helpful but this hotel needs a make over big time

This hotel has copped a lot of poor reviews and honestly it's not that bad. The apartments are relatively modern and decently equipped. There is a lot of space in the living/lounge and relatively little furniture which does make the room feel big. The city view was awesome, though the height of the window meant the view couldn't be enjoyed sitting down. The bathroom needs a little work, specifically the shower, which could do with re-tiling both on the floor and walls. This was mentioned to staff as a minor issue for improvement in the near future. Location was great, only a couple of blocks from Central Station, however, in typical Brisbane fashion, those couple of blocks translate to a roughly two and a half storey increase in altitude, so prepare for the hill if you're arriving from the train with luggage. The only other issue I had, which I forgot to mention to staff was that there was relatively little lighting in the room, as most of the lights were located in one corner of each room. This didn't really bother me which is probably why I didn't mention it, but it is worth noting.

The downside to this for us is when new guests like yourself check in and would prefer the light spread wider as do we.
