Lemmikkieläinystävällinen lomamajoitus!

Schatzi's on Shalimah on alun perin vanha kaivosmiesmökki, joka on täysin remontoitu kahden makuuhuoneen mökki. Se on perustettu hiljaisena parin painonäkökohtana, mutta toisen makuuhuoneen voi tarjota pientä lisämaksua vastaan pienelle ryhmälle, joka etsii Hunter-lomaa.
** Huomaa, että 2 hengen varaaminen merkitsee sitä, että tarvitaan vain yksi makuuhuone, sinun täytyy varata 3 hengelle ja maksaa siksi pieni lisäyö yötä varten pääsystä toiseen makuuhuoneeseen.

Iso piha on täysin suljettu kauniilla nurmikolla ja varjostelevilla puilla sekä lemmikkieläimille että omistajille. Poissa ollessaan aikaa, kun et ole kiireinen näytteenotto useiden lähistöllä sijaitsevien viinitilojen tuotteista. Äskettäin asennettu kansi tarjoaa lisätilaa ja ihanan paikan rentoutua valitsemallasi juomalla. Takapihalla on aitauksia, joiden korkeus on 150-180cm. Olemme tehneet siitä mahdollisimman koirankestävän, mutta jos koirasi on määrätietoinen kaivija tai hyppääjä, tämä ei välttämättä pidä heitä.

Sisällä
Mökissä on kaikki mukavuudet, mukaan lukien ylellisesti varustettu kylpyhuone, jossa on lämmitys ja poreamme, ja sisältää eurooppalaisen pyykin. Keittiö on hyvin varusteltu, ja siinä on jääkaappi, mikroaaltouuni, sähköuuni, kaasuliesi ja jopa espressokeitin! Kahvimäntä, muut sähkötarvikkeet ja laadukkaat kattilat, pannut ja välineet asettavat sinut kaikenlaiselle lomalle.

Illalla oleskelutila on viihtyisä tila, jossa on vastakkaissyklinen ilmastointi, iso LCD-TV, DVD-soitin ja CD-soitin. Avaa kaihtimet ja 4 metrin liukuovet avaavat kokonaan uuden tilan ja näkymän suurella kannella sijaitsevalla grillaus- ja ruokailutila-alueella, jossa on kääntyvät istuimet Karibian omituiselle maulle.

Molemmissa vuokrattavissa makuuhuoneissa (siellä on kolmas makuuhuone, johon vieraat eivät pääse) on queen-vuoteet, vaatekaapit / säilytystilat ja käänteiskiertoilmapuhelimet sekä jalustan tuulettimet yksinkertaista ilmavirtausta varten.

Sijainti
Kaunis puisto on vain minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Vincent Streetistä (kaupungin keskusta) 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Täällä voit nauttia aamiaisen tai vain kahvin yhdessä monista koiraystävällisistä kahviloista. Monissa pubeissa ja ravintoloissa, myös kävelymatkan päässä, on upea valikoima ruokia, ja jotkut paikat tarjoavat myös musiikkia viikonloppuisin. East Cessnock Bowling Club on kirjaimellisesti kadun päässä, mutta sillä on yllättävän vähän vaikutusta Schatzin vieraisiin. Alueella kävelevät ovat rauhallisia ja kauniita, vaikka kaupungissa olemmekin aivan lähellä pellot, joissa Kenguruita voi usein nähdä, etenkin lämpiminä kuukausina.

Naapurusto
Naapurimme ovat olleet siellä kauan ennen kuin ostimme ihanan mökin. He ovat ihania, ystävällisiä ja avuliaita, mutta kunnioittavat tilaa ja yksityisyyttä.

It was very nice and the big back yard was great for our dog but the house itself is not insulated and even with all the air conditioners on I had to wear more clothes inside rather than outside.

The house is in an absolutely appalling condition. It is quite literally, falling apart. We parked our car under the carport during windy weather (which you would do to prevent debris hitting the car). Unfortunately the wooden planks adorning the carport are so old and rotted that one fell onto my parents car causing extensive damage. We were offered a mere 50 from the host to fix the damage. That will not fix the damage. We will be taking the matter further to recover the full cost of the repairs (whether through insurance or a claim for negligence causing property damage).The house is freezing - it has a large gap in the floor between the kitchen and living space which looks down to the ground below, meaning that cold air gets into the house no matter how much you use the heating. The vinyl is coming away from the kitchen cupboards, there are cracks in the walls, skirting that is failing apart and a heater in the bathroom that is disgustingly rusted. The house is especially noisy in even the slightest of windy weather. We found some sort of bug poo on a coathanger in the cupboard in the second bedroom (needless to say I did not hang my clothes in there). The mattress on the bed in the second bedroom is old - you can feel the springs. There is also ashes of a dead pet displayed on the fireplace mantel in the second bedroom. We have stayed in many, many Stayz properties over the years with absolutely no issues. This would have to be the worst property on record for us.

Beautiful little cottage close to all amenities property needs to be aired out prior to arrival as it had a damp smell smelt like the house hadn’t been opened for a very long time. Sheets and marks on them I’m hoping they were stained but it was very offputting to have sheets that looked dirty on my bed. Otherwise it was an amazing stay. Loved the table outside with the swing chairs loved the location and loved the aesthetics.

Advertised as a 2 b/r house but hidden in the little print you only rent 1 room for advertised price and have to pay additional fee for access to 2nd b/r. Arrived after long trip to discover access to only one room. Then to discover there was no milk available for a cuppa.

The property was exactly as described, well appointed and most importantly was truly dog friendly. A lot of places say they are dog friendly, but they usually have loads of rules and restrictions! However I’d like to thank the owners for making not only us but our dog feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a perfect base to explore the Hunter Valley region.

Lovely little house, not only beautiful but comfortable living, great for groups/ family holidays, the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a night after exploring the hunter valley and the main bedroom is oh so comfy. Backyard is large and lovely to take a little stroll in and plenty of birdlife to watch from the swing chair table on the back porch. Simply lovely!

This is the second time in 2 years that we have stayed here, it is so central to the vineyards whilst also being off the main roads of Cessnock, the hosts accommodate people travelling with their dog, the house is well set up, there is a lovely outdoor area, safe yard for dog with a safe indoor area for a dog to stay in also, we enjoy it here and will return again next year!

My partner and I along with my Netherland dwarf rabbit Thumper stayed for the weekend. Location was great near all amenities and not far from wineries. Pick up and drop off from this location for wine tours. Instructions easy to follow, place was well accommodating for pets. Quiet street and everything in walking distance you need. Partner and I want to stay there again... probably to try out the jet spa 😉...overall we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed staying in this cottage, the place is basic but has all you need, including AC in rooms and living area. Both the owner and the manager were excellent in communication and so easy to get in touch with. This is a true pet friendly place with a huge secure yard, the minimal rules that apply to staying there with dogs are very sensible and not a lot different from what I would do at home. If you are considering visiting this beautiful area with your dogs I would definitely recommend this place.

Was a lovely, renovated miner’s cottage with many modern conveniences, including air con in the bedrooms & lounge room. The street was quiet, with lots of visiting birdlife & both of our cats were welcome & enjoyed their stay. Short drive to nearby wineries & restaurants in both Lovedale & Pokolbin. Could walk to Cessnock town centre or the nearby Bowling Club if you wished. Had a slight glitch checking in due to not receiving instructions from Stayz as advised, however Co-Host Sally-Anne ended up coming to the rescue eventually & gave us a late checkout for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. Only complaint was that there was rubbish from the previous tenant left on top of where the garbage bin was in the kitchen cupboard & this had not been picked up or removed by the cleaners & the front lawn inside the property could’ve done with a mow. We all had an enjoyable, peaceful stay & would happily stay here again.

My husband and I brought our small dog and a friend to stay for 2 nights. Our friend was celebrating her 60th birthday. The cottage was very comfortable. Rob cooked 2 dinners and we had a relaxing time. 20 minutes or so from the particular wineries we wished to revisit. We had lunch at Bistro Molines where we had our wedding and reception 12 years ago. Just a fun time was had by all.
