The pictures to this property are very misleading as the place looks unkept and run down. Our room had dirty socks left behind by a previous guest, the water in the bathroom would run constantly - not a drip but would simply run out of the faucet, the TV would not work, and the room just had a very dingy feel to it.
The staff would not answer the front desk phone and when going up to the front desk, they did not seem to care about our concerns. The property did not feel like it had been well lit, and we were scared to go outside as the neighborhood did not feel safe either.
The sound of the faucet kept us up at night. The staff did not offer us another room, a credit of any sort, or an offer to put us up elsewhere.
This experience was bad enough that we will never consider another La Quinta as a potential place to stay.
Regarding Expedia: You need to find a way to do a better job of presenting these hotels. La Quinta horribly misrepresented their hotels with the photos which must have been taken many years ago. Please do a better job of finding a way to audit these places to ensure they are accurately representing their offerings. Your staff while well intentioned, was not able to do much beyond a $25 credit. While appreciated, we feel this fell short based on such a horrible stay.
