Siisti ja viihtyisä hotelli.
Hotellimme sijaitsi Borough:n alueella, noin 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä toimistolta. Borough market oli myös aivan lähellä, täältä löytyy paljon herkullisia leivonnaisia, karkkeja, hedelmiä ja kasviksia. Sekä toimisto, että asunto oli helppo löytää London Bridgen juna-asemalle saapumisen jälkeen. Hotellilta sai etukäteen ohjeet, kuinka lentokentältä pääsee helposti noutamaan avaimia. Henkilökunta oli todella avuliasta ja heihin sai yhteyttä ympäri vuorokauden joko puhelimitse tai sähköpostilla. Saimme asunnon käyttöömme jo monta tuntia etuajassa, vaikka sisäänkirjautuminen olisi ollut vasta klo 15. Olimme toimistolla jo aamulla ja oli loistavaa kun saimme jättää matkatavarat toimistolle siksi aikaa kun pyörimme alueella ja odottelimme, että asuntomme on valmis. Asunto itse oli todella siisti ja tilava. Keittiössä oli kaikki tarvittavat välineet ruuan ja välipalojen tekemiseen. Pyyhkeitä oli riittävästi ja lisäpeittoja ja tyynyjä oli myös saatavilla. Osa asunnon hanoista oli perin englantilaisia ja meillä oli pieniä vaikeuksia käyttää niitä. Ulkoa tulevat äänet kantautuivat rakennuksen läpi kuin ikkunat olisivat olleet koko ajan auki, ja liikenne on vilkasta aamukuudesta alkaen, joten oli hyvä idea ottaa kasa korvatulppia mukaan, niille tuli käyttöä! Kaikenkaikkiaan todella mukava ja helppo tapa asua hetki Lontoossa.

Huoneisto vilkkaan kadun varrella, joten oli yöllistä meteliä. Nukuimme kuitenkin hyvin. Tower Bridge ihan vieressä ja maanalaisella pääsi lähelle ja myös lähelle konttoria. Viemäri oli osittain tukossa, muutama valaisin ei toiminut, muuten kaikki ok.

Huoneisto sijaitsee hyvien kulkuyhteyksien äärellä. Huoneisto on jo nähnyt parhaat päivänsä (kuluneet pinnat ja huonokuntoiset huonekalut). sisäilma oli tunkkainen. Isona ongelmana LUTIKAT (BEDBUGS)!! Poikamme purtiin aivan täyteen 5pv aikana. Iso vaiva kun päästiin kotiin. Kaikki tavarat (vaateet, matkalaukut, reput ym.) jouduttiin pitämään viikkoja ulkona, pestä useita kertoja, eikä vieläkään olla varmoja että ongelma on poistunut? En pysty suosittelemaan kenellekään, ennen kun ovat kunnostaneet huoneistot ja selvittäneet lutikka ongelman.

Perheloma, 2 aikuista ja 2 lasta
Olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä hotelliin. Huoneet olivat tilavia ja siistejä. Erillinen kylpyhuone ja lisäksi vielä makuuhuoneesta käynti pieneen vessaan. Keittiössä oli myös kaikki tarvittavat välineet ja laitteet, tiskikone ja pesukone. Kauppa oli myös talon alakerrassa ja auki 23 asti. Talo itsessään oli rauhallinen ja hiljainen. Junan äänet vähän häiritsivät, mutta korvatulpat auttavat aina :). Sijainniltaan hotelli oli myös hyvä, rauhallinen alue ja kävelymatka n.5-10 minuuttia Boroughin metroasemalle. Voimme lämpimästi suositella hotellia ja voisimme myös itse mennä seuraavalla lomalla. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja kartan avulla huoneisto löytyi helposti. Kiitos!

Kylpyammeen tulppa ei pitänyt, sohva pysyi hädintuskin kasassa, sängyt oli epämukavat (metallijouset tuntui selkää vasten) ja wc-paperia sekä tiskitabletteja piti erikseen pyytää vastaanotosta. Sijainti oli hyvä ja huoneisto tilava ja hyvin varusteltu.

First the good things. The flat was clean. And we had the pleasant surprise of having an extra bathroom. Now the less good. The quality of the apartment was nowhere near the expected one. We realize that we were not going to get the exact apartment as that seen in the pictures. However, the expectation was that the apartment we get would be of similar quality. That was not the case, as what we got felt older, smaller, less sunny. More importantly, certain things did not work well. Only one of 6 lights was working in one of the bathrooms. The water was not flowing well, it was merely a trickle sometimes when taking a shower. A bathroom sync was clogged very badly, and we had to wait long until all the water went down. Extra care and maintenance is needed to fix these issues.

Purtroppo ho riscontrato un servizio poco corretto della struttura nel senso che non solo il check-in va effettuato piuttosto lontano dall’appartamento ( comunque segnalato), ma l’appartamento stesso non si trova nella zona indicata. Nel mio caso specifico, andando a Londra x una fiera, l’appartamento era stato scelto proprio in base alla posizione e alla vicinanza con la metro, che invece era piuttosto lontana e farsela a piedi tutti i giorni non è stato affatto piacevole. Inoltre l’appartamento, seppur decoroso, non era quello delle foto.

Good but...
A comfy appartment with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, one kitchen and one living room. What is annoying is that you have to collect the keys at Union Street and it can sometimes be far from your appartment. Plus if you arrive too late (after 21 p.m i think) you have to pay more. Otherwise we were well welcomed qnd the appart was nice. Just the fact that the lights turned on automatically each times that somebody passed in the street was a bit annoying. In addition they could have proposed tea bags and coffee. Still fine

Die Wohnung entsprach so gar nicht den Fotos hier im Inserat, war zur Hälfte unter der Erde dh eher im Keller und das schlimmste: Der Schimmel und der Geruch im Bad. Wasserhähne ließen sich kaum zu drehen. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend. Definitiv nicht zu empfehlen.

Flexibility required
The communication between booking with Vrbo and the property managers at home away left us in the dark about final check in information until about 24 hours before leaving for our trip. Then, the flat we booked and got confirmation in was not the flat we actually got. Disappointing. It was also a pain to have to check in across the River from where we were staying. That said, the office folks were kind and helpful, quick to respond to an issue with smoke alarm batteries. And the flat was OK. Short on cooking utensils - one knife, one tiny frying pan, 4 mugs for a place that could sleep 7.

The apartement management; Aldgate Office or London Apartment difficult to reach by email. You have to understand the location of the office for check in is quite far from the allocated unit. It was not in walking distance between those places. Finally, they gave us Borough Empire South at Long Lane iso Union Nike Apartment at Union Street which was not easy to find. We have walked around between the buildings twice under rain and cold weather. No balcon and no smoking as we expected during booking which I might be rejected from the begining if the management clearly communicate with me. We also have had electrical problem when we checked in the unit. One CB was drop (OFF) unpowering the kitchen area. No one came later to fix it during our stay. However, the location of the unit was only 450 meters from Borough underground station and 850 meters from London Bridge Station.

Excellently located & very well equipped spacious apartment.A lot of thought has gone in to the details of what guests would need.Plenty of towels,bedding,kitchen gadgets++ The heating is electric wall mounted heaters throughout the apartment which are incredibly efficient for such a large space. I would absolutely recommend this apartment and am looking forward to staying again sometime soon!

The property was in a fantastic location in Southwark, great for Borough Market, The Shard and The Southbank. Check in was good very pleasant staff. We were in a ground floor apartment. Nice big entrance hall, bedroom one on the first floor very large with a shower room/ toilet. Downstairs in the basement was bedroom two a further shower/room. A well equipped kitchen, diner & living area. Clean bedding & towels. My only fault would be the shower rooms need a bit ok TLC they let the property down a bit! Apartment had good heating lovely and warm.

Checkin was a disaster as location was over 15 minute Uber ride to the apartment. We were questioned and ridiculed to ensure we will not throw parties. Apartment was in poor condition with faulty light switches, mold in bathroom, kitchen that had water stains on floor, smell of refuge, and toilet that runs continuously unless lid opened and parts jiggled. WiFi was subpar as it was powered by slow Cellular service which did not get a solid signal.

A complete disaster
The check in was a disaster, I had to travel to their office 39 min away from the apartment to pick up the key When I arrived there was an estate agent showing the apartment to a potential tenant The windows didn’t close. There was no room in the wardrobe due to the vacuum cleaner. No shower gel or shampoo. Basically the worst place I’ve stayed in for years

Lage der Wohnung war gut und die Wohnung eigentlich auch. Es gibt leider einige Mängel wie schmutzige und verfleckte Teppiche, schmutzige (und zwar richtig heftig) Gardienen, Kücheneinrichtung sehr mangelhaft - z.B. keinen Flaschenöffner, alle Küchenmöbel wackeln, irgend etwas abgebrochen, kann nicht richtig bedient werden (Backofen - keine ersichtlichen Temperaturen mehr), Glühbirnen waren kaputt, Nachttischlampe fehlte an einem Bett etc. Eigentlich alles kleine Mängel und mit ein wenig Unterhalt, wäre es eine gute Wohnung. Der vorgängige Kontakt war äusserst mühsam und wir bekamen, auch wenn wir in Englisch geschrieben haben, nur mühsam eine Antwort und auch dann wurde nicht alles beantwortet. Bei der Buchung war auch nicht ersichtlich, dass sich bei der Union Apartments um eine Agentur handelt, die mehrere Apartments hat. Wir haben eigentlich das Apartment nach der Lage ausgesucht und haben dann ein anderes zugewiesen erhalten, was uns erst später bewusst wurde. Da wir nicht wussten, in welcher Zone wir wohnen würden, konnten wir vorgängig nicht die richtigen Tickets für die U-Bahn und Busse kaufen. Auch auf unsere Nachfrage wurde nie reagiert. Wir werden auf jedenfall nicht mehr bei Union buchen und werden zukünftig kritisch auf die Angebote von ebookers hinschauen. Auf jedenfall war die Unterstützung durch ebookers im Vorfeld ganz nett doch leider konnte auch nicht viel erreicht werden.

We stayed for 2 nights on our way to another destination and found the accommodation to be nice. However it wasn't made clear at the booking stage that we collect a key from one address and then the accommodation was somewhere else. So we got off the train with having traveled with 3 large heavy suitcases to walk the 15 mins to where we thought our accommodation was only to have to walk back past the station to our apartment (40mins). The pillows were were all very old and not fit for purpose. Mattress in the bedroom was also in need of updating as the memory foam had molded to a larger,heavier person. I was a little disappointed :(

Excelente apartamento para disfrutar Londres
Nuestro apartamento estaba muy bien situado, cerca de Tower Bridge, London Bridge, con facilidad en los accesos al transporte publico de Londres. Los apartamentos están muy bien equipados, disponen de todos los electrodomésticos necesarios que funcionan perfectamente. Los apartamentos son amplios, limpios y nuevos, bien decorados estilo moderno, en nuestro caso dispone de terraza. Predomina en todo la calidad. Se descansa muy bien. Están muy bien preparados para el frio, hilo radiante y calefacción. No tanto para el calor que se solventa fácilmente abriendo ventanas. En nuestro caso existe un desplazamiento 0.8 millas de desde la recogida de llaves hasta la ubicación del apartamento. Tanto el Chek In como el Check Out se realiza cómodamente. Una mejora sería hacer más visible la oficina de recogida de llaves, por ejemplo con un luminoso, cartel, rótulo, no destaca a simple vista.

To start with there is no such place as Union Nike Apartments. The actual apartment building is called “Westminster”. The location is not the address that was advertised on Hotels.com, which was actually the property management office. Wish I’d known this before the taxi dropped us off with our 70 lbs of baggage! But never mind that - the property was just a 10 min walk away, but after a 10-hour flight, I got an Uber instead. On to the apartment itself - it is not what they show on the photo. Not even close. Not even the same building as shown in the photos on Hotels.com. But the area in Southwark is great and the apartment is clean and modern so we try to make the best of it. And then things got funky. Literally. By day 2, the stench of garbage was so awful that I could barely breathe. I took refuge by sleeping on the living room couch. But the noise from the street below was so loud - I mean I could hear people talking, the traffic light warnings, the buses, the cars, I got no sleep whatsoever. Maybe it would have been less noisy if I’d closed the windows, but it was the hottest day in history in London and the apartment had no fans, no AC, it was smoking hot. So back to the stench. Turns out there were trash bins sitting directly behind the bedroom windows. It was intolerable. So I contacted hotels.com to complain and I went to the property management office to demand a relocation. To their credit they moved us to a lovely 2-bdrm in Shoreditch.

We found the booking in process very easy, remembering that we were informed that the units were at another place. Explaining that 2 of us were mobility impaired, we were told that our unit was on the 5th floor, but we had a lift to the 3rd. When we arrived the lift was out of service. We phoned the booking office who immediately arranged another unit for us. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The toaster wasn't working, but the booking office needs to be informed before they can replace items. I would definitely book a unit with them again.

Terrible. completely false advertising. Expedia needs to remove them from the site. Top floor with no ventilation and bathrooms and rooms in Poor condition. We left within the first hour. Had to haul our luggage to another building far from the checkin building. Expedia tried to intervene. For all practical purposes this is a fraud. I wish I had more authentic review on them. We were not offered any kind of support either.

Appartements sind über London verstreut, die aktuelle Adresse bekommt man beim einchecken mitgeteilt. Dieses lag dann 20min entfernt. Aufzug war defekt und Appartement lag im obersten stock, sehr unerfreulich da der Aufzug schon länger defekt war. Würde aus auf Grund dieser Erfahrungen nicht nochmal buchen, auch wenn es die letzte verfügbare wäre.

Gute Lage im Stadtteil Southwark, je 6 Gehminuten zu 3 verschiedenen U-Bahnstationen. Egal in welche Richtung es gehen soll, immer gleich die beste Linie verfügbar. 2 stöckig, viel Platz, 2 Bäder, gute Ausstattung Dünne Fenster, daher etwas laut, Erdgeschoss + 1. UG, daher etwas dunkel. Aber das ist ja auch kein Appartement zum wohnen, sondern zum übernachten, als Startplatz für Ausflüge. Und dafür absolut genial. Gute Küche um mit Frühstück und Abendessen die kosten niedrig zu halten. Supermarkt direkt gegenüber, mind. 10 Pubs in 5min laufweite
