Spacious cabin for 1 person. Doesn't look like much from the outside but looks brand new inside & is well equipped.

Nice easy place to stay/ park really near to the beautiful Bitter Springs where you can swim and also close drive to the Rainbow Springs too where most people go. Rooms are really nice and town feels safe and people have a good energy.

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean but not clean…. There was dust, gecko poo & cobwebs on the floor & ceiling. The smoke alarm kept peeping all night & there was blanket on the bed or even in the room.

Hi Marissa, we have never advertised that the thermal pools are located at our establishment. They are located 2km from us, which equates to a 2min car ride or a 10min walk.

Check in was easy and pleasant. Restaurant menu had a good range and service was prompt. Food was tasty. We had booked a twin room but ended up in what appeared to be a family room, which had single and double bunk beds. This made the room feel claustrophobic to me. The mattress’s springs dug in and there wasn’t any way to get a good sleep. There was no shower screen or curtain so the water wet the bathroom floor, making it slippery. The stay began well. However, we neither of us got a good night’s sleep.

A nice tranquil setting, close to bitter Springs, room an bed nice, would of liked a bit better camp kitchen set up would definitely stay again

When locking up to go out I noticed the bottom window ajar. I tried to close but couldn’t so cleaned up window sill inside & around window then went outside to close. Eventually I was able to lock it. The outside should have a brush down regularly. Behind the door had gravel accumulated & the feature ‘v’s in mud brick walls have spider webs here & there. The shower although nice was a pain as everything got wet. & the area next to the toilet had not been cleaned for some time. Cleaners need to move the toilet brush holder & clean it & the floor where located.

The evening meal and wine were very good. The live entertainment was excellent. The prices for the room and everything else were good value. I think the pool water needs improving as it was cloudy, with leaves floating on the surface. Also, I could not raise the staff for the breakfast.

The air conditioning was leaking on the floor could not make a coffee as the kettle had stuff like egg shell inside it and the food was not nice at all.

Hi Jodie, we was not aware your airconditioner was leaking, had this been brought to any of the staffs attention it would have been attended to straight away. The humidity during the Wet season does affect some of the new split systems and we would have been able to do something for you that night. The stuff you see in the kettles is actually calcium, which the same stuff you swim in at the Thermal springs, it is in the mains water that feed the establishment. Again the staff could have provided you with a replacement kettle. In regards to the meal, we are sorry that it was not to your expectations. Of the thousands of meals we do each year, we have very few that dislike their meal, and of those had it been brought to our attention the staff would have been happy to have fixed the situation straight away. Our staff our powerless to help guests if they are unaware that there is something wrong.

Hi, we are sorry you were unable to reach someone as reception closes at 5pm, however codes for secure check in are sent to mobile phone numbers on the day for guests that arriving after 5pm, so again sorry you did not receive your code via sms or via the expedia email. Our restaurant staff were on site up until 7:30pm and would have been able to gain you access to the secure lock box had you popped round and seen them on the night. Unless you arrived really late. We do our best to cover all bases for those arriving after hours, given we do not operate a 24hr reception service.

A really unique property with wandering peacocks set in lush grounds. The room was nice and comfortable. As advertised on the reception door the property was having issues with staff shortages. This may have been reason for a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, a flickering light in the bathroom, and being told to retrieve my key from the key box despite reception being open. I was advised that a code was sent to my mobile, but there is no Vodafone mobile reception in Mataranka so I didn't receive it until after I had checked out. Just lucky reception was actually open.

The optus regional box for Mataranka has finally been serviced by optus and guests should be able to receive messages on getting the property, however we do recommend turing off your phone and rebooting so that it will pick up signal quicker.
