Nice place, very quiet, (when we were stayed there was not skeet shooting going on) We had a King size room, shower is tricky, place is way away from restaurants, the town is closed on Monday and Tuesday (so no place nearby to eat)

Lodge was nice. Shared the building with one other couple but I have a feeling that with more people sharing the facility it might have been uncomfortable. It was a quiet night's sleep but the skeet shooting in the morning and afternoons could get on one's nerves unless you just stay closed up in the building. It is a shooting club after all...I just was ignorant of that fact. An ample continental breakfast was left in the refrigerator for us. We were left to hunt up the dishes and utensils, get the coffee pot on, etc.I almost felt like I was at home. Didn't spend much time on the site before heading for our destination.

This should not be on the list of hotels for one going to the Ark Experience!!!! It was not because of the distance to travel back and forth as the time becuase of the "goat path" usage for the trip. The time each way is 25 minutes as provided by the froint desk people. I cancelled it upon arrival.

The nicest people run the lodge and it was very clean. Beds were soft and comfortable. The hunt club on the hill was great for dinner, wine tour and live music. I recommend the stay.

There is a full kitchen but there was no ice available. The refrigerator had a label on it which communicates this fact. A facility like this should have a free-standing icemaker in the kitchen...

NIGHTMARE
Paper thin walls (no insulation). The people in the room across a small hallway from ours had a party. Lots of loud cursing. At one point power tools were used for who knows what. If leaving and finding another location in the hills of Kentucky were possible, we would have! Instead we braced the door and tried to sleep with weapon at arms reach. I truly felt frightened. Most expensive night of our 25 on the road so far! Give me a Motel 8. Would have at least been able to sleep.

There is a winery on the 400 acre property, but the vinyard is in terrible shape and the wines offered were too sharp in taste and no aroma, very new vintage. We tasted most , both reds and whites. Bought none. Also the winery said there was dinning in the evening, but all they offer was sandwiches.

Accommodations were very nice. Only downside was that there were people playing music until later at night and playing pool right under our room. Could hear conversations. Plus floors were extremely creeky

Nice lodge, enjoyed their restaurant and wine tour including their wine cellar. Took longer than I expected, to get there. 30 minutes from I75.

Very Secluded Lodge in the Middle of Nowhere
First I have to give the Lodge staff props for honoring a Groupon I had that expired years ago. They did not protest or question it at all. The staff was very communicative and messaged me via Expedia to ensure things were in order and we setup a late check in without any hassle. The lodge itself is very rustic and well kept. It is essentially a really large log cabin type house with many rooms a short walk from the winery. The lodge however is 100% not soundproof at all. They do mention that in the booking so I can't complain about it, but must warn other guests that you are going to hear everything from your neighbors. The place nearly echos sound travels so well. I will say that I was under the impression that the winery was attached or at least right next to the lodge, but it is not. It is about a 10 minute walk across a hilly path or you have to go out into the busy road to take a flat route. I feel for the price...there wasn't a lot included with the stay. Our room was rather expensive even with the Groupon, but there are no perks that come with the room other than breakfast. The surrounding area is a bit depressed. The winery is really a diamond in the rough. I would not say the nearby areas are very nice and there is really nothing to do.

The lodge could be a little bit cleaner. Lot of dead insects on window sills. The door to our bedroom was recently kicked in and it had a poor repair job. You could look into our room through the edge of the damaged door. We did not feel very safe. Different facilities at the lodge, winery, gun club lack viewable signage. It was hard to find the check in office of the lodge.

The lodge was beautiful. We met some really nice people there. The breakfast was amazing. It was only 20 minutes from Kentucky Speedway. The view was wonderful. I would stay there again.

Peaceful serene Bed & Breakfast Winery
We stayed in the Estate rooms which I recommend. They are private hotel rooms. There are 3 diff bldgs you can stay, 1) the main house lodge 2) the estate rooms 3) the Elk Creek Inn. The lodge is beautiful but it's not private & u can hear everything. There are 6 bedrooms in the lodge. I don't know how the Inn is. The property has 700 beautiful acres. They also have a shooting/hunt club on the property. The winery is gorgeous as well. Large, a couple levels, wrap around large porch & deck. The food there is great too. We had the prime rib & it was wonderful. The only things I would suggest, are a microwave in the estate rooms & that coffee & tea be left out for replenishing.

Peaceful and safe location
The lodge is a little ways from town. It is quiet, peaceful and safe! Nice place to unwind! The log cabin house is lovely with good vibes. The room we stayed in is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. They serve a nice breakfast in the morning and the staff is very helpful.

I'm sorry that the directions for the shower weren't very clear. We will defiantly take a look at those direction to make sure they are more clear for future guests.

Very enjoyable
We had an enjoyable stay. My mother and friend were with us and they gave them a very nice room on the main floor so they didn't have to go up the steps. Our toilet didn't flush- however we were the only people at the lodge that night so we made do with the public restroom!

Hi Barbara, So happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay however I was concerned to hear that you had problems with your toilet. We feel terrible that you had to use the public bathroom in the Lodge. Thank you for being so understanding about the issue which has been repaired and hope you may come and stay with us again.

Remote but Winderful
Great little estate room facing the vineyard. Tile, hardwood, six panel doors, very comfortable and high end. Felt pampered and well-rested. Hotel staff kind and smiling. Lodge is very cool....lots of stone, wood, and fireplaces. Cozy and chic. Winery tour was informative and interesting, and we really enjoyed the wine tasting and restaurant food after the tour.

It Just Depends On What You Want
We needed to stay in a hotel for the evening. Because of various events in this area of Kentucky, this was one of the only places that had a room left. Our experiences, good and bad: - We had not read the fine-print of our reservation made on hotels.com. We didn't know the office closes at 6pm. Fortunately, someone from the hotel called us at about 6pm and gave us the details of getting into our room. - However, they gave us a code to enter the house where we would be sharing with other guests. But, the code did not work. Fortunately, other guests were there to let us in. - We got to our room. It was basically a small upstairs bedroom of this converted home. It did not have a bathroom. We shared one with the other upstairs guest. - In our room, we found a large dead ant in our bed. - And the TV in our room did not work. - In the morning, there was a coffee pot in the kitchen downstairs. I was able to find the coffee, cups, sugar, and sweeteners, but no cream. And, at 6:30 in the morning, there's no one to call. - On the other hand, the rolling hills around this home, and the nearby winery, are beautiful. Bottom line: if you need a hotel for the night (like we did), this probably isn't the place for you. A high price for less-than-normal hotel service. But, if you want to get away and find a peaceful place for a few days, Elk Creek may be just the right spot for you.
