I spent a lot of time looking for a budget friendly but well rated hotel in Paris. I booked a double twin room for my daughter and I. I’ll start with the pros - the property is located close to the Vavin Metro which makes it very easy to get around. The staff were extremely polite. The room was very clean, small and cosy. The bathroom, although small, worked fine for two petite women. The shower would not have worked for a larger individual. There is also a laundry mat right next door, so I was able to do a load of laundry.
Cons - We had a street facing room and the bar across the street made it impossible to get a full nights rest. It is open until 5am and although we had a sound machine on AND earplugs, the screaming, singing, and fighting from across the way was unbearable. For this alone, I would never stay here again. I realize that this is outside of the hotel’s control, but I appreciate other’s reviews when I choose a place to stay and wish I would have known. After an 11 hour flight, not sleeping for 3 nights combined with jet lag, was very frustrating.
