Das Anmelden ging noch ,aber im zimmer funktionierte die Dusche nicht.Kein Warmwasser .Es kam nur tropfenwesise Kaltes Wasser.Es gab kein Fön und kein Shampoo im Zimmer.Morgens sollte ich um 6:00 Uhr geweckt werden,passierte aber nicht.ab 7:00 Uhr sollte es frühstück geben,habe bist 8:00 Uhr gewartet,aber passierte nicht.Das Rezeption war auch nicht besetzt.Am Ende habe ich einen Sicherheitsman getroffen und ihm den Schlüssel in die Hand gedrückt.Ich verstehe das nicht daß Expedia so einen Hotel abietet.

Hotel looked much nicer online than in person.
This wasn’t one of the nicest hotel that I’ve stayed in in Haiti but I was willing to make it work. Room was huge and hotel staff is great!!! BUT... not one of the cleanest hotels. Again, I was willing to make it work. The worst thing however was the last night we were to stay at the hotel we were locked out!!!! Got back to hotel at 11pm and gate was closed. We honked and knocked for 45 minutes and no one came to open for us. Security guard no where to be found!!! Looking to be refunded for that night. Will not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again (although I’m in Haiti quite frequently). Nightmarish experience:( :( :(

worse hotel I've been to
Was not clean bathroom disgusting, no hot hot water, every time I need hot water had to go to the front desk , so they can turn it on, no one came to make room, use the same towel for 3 days, tissue was done had to go get a roll from them.

The hotel appears clean in the lobby. The actual room was with cobwebs in corner, dirt on sink top. Hot water tap broken and therefore no hot water for the duration of the stay. No wash cloth provided. The pool was green colored indicating an overgrowth of fungi. Long wait for breakfast. Staff very nice and pleasing. Might consider staying there in the future if deficiencies could be fixed. Great location and convenience. Did not locate free shuttle service to and from airport.

Missing the basics
Room did not always have water for the shower. Service was very slow or non-existent. The room had no towels, and after asking for towels 3 times, we never received them.

A Bad Hotel
I had a bad experience with this hotel. It is lacking security because any body can come inside without checking at the front office. There is no front office staff early in the morning or late in the evening. There is no airport shuttle as it is advertised online. Toiletterie items and hot water are rare commodities.

This is a dirty or unclean hotel.
I chose this hotel because of the 3 1/2 star rating it has. Nevertheless, this hotel claims certain things it really doesn't have. It does no provide shuttle service, it does no have hot water, it has no working television, limited room cleaning service and a very limited food menu. Stayed 5 days.

Inadequate Service
The hotel looks good but the service was very poor. The staff's are very inexperience and the accommodations were lacking. There was blood on my bed sheet. There was no ice, tooth paste, hair dryer, which are very basic things. Plus, we waited 2 hours for a food that was just salty with no taste. This hotel is not worth the money.

Stay far, far, away!
During my two night stay, the power went out in our room eight times. In addition, the air conditioning was without power 12-15 times, leaving me with heat rashes throughout my body. The pool water was green. They attempted to clean the water by adding powdered bleach. There were dead insects and visible bacteria throughout the pool area. I purchased a meal my first night there, they did not have change.... the next day, they still did not have change from my initial purchase. The wifi did not work. I was forced to use my husbands data plan to have internet access. There was a minimum wait of 30+ minutes, per meal order. Our room had Cobb webs and ants. Additionally, there was a strong smell of a chemical throughout the room. The rooms front droor had three large cracks, which made it difficult to close. The phone in the room was disconnected and when we connected the unit to the wall, it still had no service. Lastly, the television had little to no reception.

Worst hotel
This hotel was the worst hotel ever...don't have all the items on they menu...the air conditioner keep shutting off and the room is always hot...I always had to ask someone to turn it on for me cause the room was too hot...they take too long with the food...And they don't have a shuttle bus to the airport.... worst hotel I ever stayed in...

disappointing
Had a late arrival,at first everything seemed ok. water pressure is practically nil. not even a water bottle in room. door to balcony and outside parking area could not be closed. entryway light did not work no wifi no free shuttle or transfer to airport. All and all very contrary to EXPEDIA DESCRIPTION. Even using local carrier sim card ,reception is very poor.

Très bel hôtel, propre, personnel très accueillant
Tout s'est très bien passer. L'accueil, le personnel, tout était parfait. La carte du menu etait bien complète mais peu de disponibilités sur les plats que nous souhaitions prendre.

Nice Hotel. But no confort. Furnitures look bad
The mattresses are very softs . Not good quality. For that I got back peine. No air conditioning before 18h. No breakfast. No hot water. No glases or jar for water. No guide book for available services.

Nice and clean hotel
The hotel is fairly clean. It's overall nice: landscape, lobby and room. The staff is super helpful: Morel and Jackson (the server) bend over backward to make everything easy. The restaurant doesn't really have much to offer. It's conveniently located few blocks from the US embassy and the UN thus security is fair compare to the rest of Port-au-Prince. It's not much to do in the area though. It's for 1st day and last day in the country. I will not recommend it for vacation.

Lovely pool and ambiance
The room was nice and fairly clean. There were plenty of ants unfortunately in my room. The staff spoke English, French and Kreyol (obviously). They were also fairly prompt with service. The pricing of the food was too high for this hotel, but the Chicken salad was quite tasty.

Nice Hotel
Let me start by saying that by Haiti's standards this is a nice Hotel. The staff is very friendly and aim to please. Alex makes a great cocktail called Pasquale, Victor goes out of his way to assure room cleanliness and comfort, and Jackson's service is on point. As all visitors to the country know, there is a serious issue with the electricity. The hotel provides electricity, though limited, 24 hrs. The wifi is spotty at times. The pool is clean and the area around it pristine. The food is good. The breakfast buffet did not have many choices but it was good. All prices are in US dollars and the drinks I thought were pricey. I was in a single room with a king bed. The bed was comfortable, the room was large, hot shower available the whole time, the decor minimal but very neat. The location is not greatest because there is not much around. The only tourist attraction is the Parc Historique de la Canne Sucre, which is about one mile up the road and it's about half a mile from the US Embassy. I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a clean quiet place to stay on a business trip who does not require a lot of amenities. Overall, I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Good news & more bad News
Good News: hotel is new, clean, Fair room, good bed, Great staff & a nice pool.Good section of town. BAD NEWS: At the time of stay (7/1-7/8 2015) no airport transfer as advertise, Electricity was out 12 out of 24 hours with no back-up generator working at a 90 degree day everyday. no refrigerator in the room, no cable TV, one channel playing the program over & over Breakfast was lacking due a lack of spice or juice, the food at dinner was expensive ($22 a meal), chasing water to drink & when giving was warm, I will not stay again unless guaranties are made that those problems were fix, I did received apologies but it did not help.

Good location and very comfortable sleeping
Hotels.com says the Le Monte Cristo has in room wi-fi and cable TV. It does not. It has wi-fi out on the common balcony, and pool area. Only one Haitian channel on the TV. The restaurant was limited to only 2 items on their menu. Everything else about the hotel was great. The King size bed was very comfortable with good A/C. The pool area is spacious and very modern looking. The location being close to the Embassy,Super Markets and big Hardware Store is a plus.

Overrated hotel
This is not a 3.5 star hotel more like a 2. 5. Hotel staff is nice however there are misinformation. Only 1 little bar of soap provided for 2. No free airport shuttle as stated. They wanted me to pay $20 U.S. For each way despite the proximity of the airport. When I stated that Expedia advertised the hotel with free shuttle and that it is not fair to charge me. They claimed the driver was not available to drop me even when I told them a day in advance about my departure. When there is power outage no AC.

Modern and Most Helpful
Rented three rooms for six people for three days and nights of meetings at nearby Saint Damien hospital. Handicapped guests are welcomed and respected. Courteous and helpful in every way. Whatever we needed: local transportation, shopping, translators, tourism information the Hotel Manager was quick and specific in her help. Staff often are bi-lingual .
