James River -talo sijaitsee Henrico läänissä. Olemme 15 minuutin päässä historiallisesta keskustasta Richmond ja 45 minuuttia Colonial Williamsburg. Olemme näkymät James-joelle erittäin kauniissa yksityisessä ympäristössä. Talomme nukkuu 6. Makuuhuoneessa on erittäin hämmästyttävä parisänky ja toisessa makuuhuoneessa on Midcentury-queen-vuode, molemmilla on erittäin mukavat patjat. Oleskelutilassa on aurinkohuone, jossa on sohva ja ulosvedettävä queen-vuode. Suuri keittiö on täysin "kokki" valmis. Viihtyisän olohuoneen kuvaikkuna näyttää joelta. Tuo polkupyörät ja polkupyöräsi oveltasi Virginia Capital -polkupyörän polulle. Polku kulkee Richmondista Williamsburgiin. Olemme kävelymatkan päässä Deep Bottom -venerampista ja meillä on runsaasti tilaa veneellesi ja vesiskoottereillesi. Tai voit valita kajakin tai Stand Up Paddle Boardin suoraan yksityiseltä rannalta. Meillä on suora pääsy veteen, upouudessa 50 jalka-telakalla, jossa on tilaa sitoa 4 venettä tai vain rentoutua ja nauttia auringonpaisteesta. Älä unohda tuoda vesikengät rantaamme on kivinen. I can’t say enough good things about this vacation home!!! This was our second time staying at this house and both experiences have been great! The house is always super clean and is stocked with everything you will need. We loved the dock, fishing was great from it and it is so convenient being so close to the boat launch. The owners were great to deal with and so helpful. I would definitely recommend this house!!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at this relaxing cottage right on the James River. The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful, private, and just steps from the water. The dock was absolutely perfect for kicking back with a drink or casting a line. We caught all kinds of fish and spent hours just enjoying the view. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind by the water!

Lovely views of the river & birds. Peace and quiet. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. It is an old house but it is well cared for and we definitely enjoyed the three seasons room. There was everything we needed to cook our meals. I fell in love with the sweet donkey and we enjoyed walking the nearby trails.

The property is set on a picturesque landscape with views of the James River from windows and the sunroom. We enjoyed sitting in the sunroom relaxing and visiting Bubba the donkey. The house had all the things we needed for a perfect stay. We were in town for a soccer tournament and being able to relax in our downtime was perfect! We had no reason to contact the owners but when we did to let them know we were arriving and departing they were quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay!!

Private stay with a lake house and a dock to fish off all yourself. The resident was feeding the horses and a donkey in the nearby stable and helped my daughter pet them, which was a highlight of her trip.

My family and I absolutely love it here. We love the peace and tranquility of this beautiful property, the environment is tranquil country living near the river. The amazing hosts/owners are just truly exceptional and deliver excellent customer service. This lovely country home is the perfect escape for my family. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles traffic that we endure back at home. If I could move in permanently, I would. Thank you Janet & Rob for such wonderful hospitality. 5 Stars Plus Plus Plus!! : )

Our family enjoyed staying here with a lovely view of the James River and an easy drive to Downtown Richmond, Colonial Williamsburg, and other spots. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of spots to spend time together, it was just what we had in mind. Would recommend!

Fabulous time. Rob was a fantastic host. Spent time with us teaching me and my kids how to fish, helped me when my boat broke, brought down gas for my boat, made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The list could go on. Could not recommend him or this location enough. We will be back!!!

After a long family road trip from Western New York to Florida and back, this was a nice place to come to on our way home. It felt very much like back home for us. The property has a beautiful view of the James river. I wish we had more time to explore the area, but we visited family in Richmond and enjoyed the history of the city. It was a great place, plenty to do, and a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the river.

Our visit was absolutely perfect! From the cleanliness of the house to the incredible attention to detail inside and outside, this property is a gem. The owners care about the property and the region, and it shows everywhere you look. Perhaps, the greatest thing about this property is that it is not new construction. This house has history and charm that can only be found in older homes that are well-loved. The property is close to the Upper Shirley Vineyard and Richmond’s incredible restaurants. While we missed Janet on our visit, Rob was a super host, and we look forward to visiting again for the beautiful views and incredible hospitality.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Our only regret is that we spent most of our days at a busy conference and couldn’t spend more time relaxing here. But mornings and evenings by the river were incredibly peaceful. The horse and donkey were so sweet, and it’s also a great spot for birdwatching. Despite being remote, it’s still very accessible to downtown Richmond. Definitely recommended for a quiet getaway.

My family and I had the most amazing stay here for two weeks!! From the very start, we were treated like family and wish I could leave a 10 Star Review because it is absolutely 100% well deserved! The owners Janet & Rob are the most wonderful and gracious hosts. This property is a slice of heaven, the location is ideal with direct access to the river, it is so peaceful and tranquil with amazing views of the James River right from your living room window, kitchen window and sun room. The private dock is a fisherman's dream-my husband and kids were in heaven catching blue catfish, crabs and a variety of other fish. The hosts provided us with plenty of kayak's, life jackets, fishing poles, and went out of their way to deliver us exceptional hospitality. We will be coming back to stay during our son's college breaks and can't wait to stay again in this amazing cottage on the river. Also, we love coffee and appreciated the Keurig coffee maker as well as the overall cleanliness-it was top notch all the way around. Thank you so much Janet & Rob for everything! : )

Home was fine. I believe exterior i.e. access to river, availability of kayaks, firepit, rocky beach,etc were misrepresented and this is the reason we left early.

This was a great place for our family to stay. We were centrally located among so much American history as well as wilderness. Deer and fireflies were nightly visitors. Down at the dock, blue crabs and fish were in abundance. The property owners were always quick and polite to respond to all of our questions.
