Siisti ja mukava hotelli loistosijainnilla.
Kiva hotelli, hyvällä paikalla. Runsas aamiainen ja erityisesti Leonardo tiskin takana oli todella mukava ja palvelualtis. Huoneiden äänieristys jätti vähän toivomisen varaa ja huoneen lämmönsäätö ei toiminut kunnolla (liian lämmin).

Wc ilman ovea. WC pönttön istuintila ahdas.Sängyn jouset natisi. Lattia vaatii peruspesua. Aamupala hyvä. Vastaan otto hyvä. Esitteissä näkyvä kattoterassi kiinni. Ei baaritiskiä eikä baaria. Rauhallinen hintansa arvoinen kohde.

Hotellin sijainti todella loistava, kaikki must see nähtävyydet kävelymatkan päässä. Hotelli pieni ja huoneet pieniä, mutta se oli tiedossa jo varatessa. Superior huoneessa ei kahta normikokoista matkalaukkua olisi voinut olla. WC ja suihkutilat siistit, nähtävästi remontoitu vastikään. Aamiainen riittävä, löytyy nälkäisemmille myös ne pekonit, makkarat ja munakkaat. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Hymyn ja tervehdyksen sai myös siivoojilta. Englannilla pärjäsi niin hotellissa kuin kaupungilla. Hotelli pienen kadun varrella, vastapäätä leipomo, josta sai myös pizzapaloja mukaan, leipomo paikallisten suosima. Suosittelemme. Vinkki miten homma toimi: valitse ensin tiskiltä, saat kuitin, jonka perusteella maksat kassalla ja sitten haet annoksen kuittia vastaan. Hotellin lähellä myös paljon hyviä ravintoloita. Lentokenttäkuljetukset ensikertalaisina kaupungissa tilasimme Welcome-pickups palvelun kautta, lentokentältä hotellille 48eur, maksetaan etukäteen varatessa. Suosittelemme myös sitä palvelua. Kuljettaja vastassa tuloaulassa nimikyltin kanssa. Tuo 48eur on kiinteä taksihinta kentältä keskustaan. Eli palvelusta ei erillistä veloitusta. Matka-aika n. 45 min.

Kiva hotelli loistavalla sijainnilla
Hotelli sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla, koska päänähtävyydet ovat puolen tunnin kävelymatkan sisällä. Aamupala oli monipuolinen ja hotellin henkilökunta erittäin avulias. Bonuksena oli kattoterassilla sijainnut pieni baari, josta oli näkymät kaupungin kattojen ylle. Hieman huono äänieristys ja minibaarin puute olivat ainoat miinukset.

Very nice location. Friendly staff. Little noise due to much activities on roof top and the bar across the hotel. Its vary delightful if you're not tryingvto catch-up with sleeping to get rid of jet lag .

We had a great experience Hotel Smeraldo during our stay in April 2024. We were 2 people and stayed 2 nights. Location is perfect. Walkable to many Rome sights and good restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good a variety of tasty options. Bakery with pizza and panini just across the street. Very close to a main bus stop. Room was small but tidy and clean. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

The facilities were updated and clean. Great location, breakfast options plentiful and staff were very helpful. We had an early Vatican tour and couldn’t make the breakfast serving time. Per our request, they graciously packed a “to go” breakfast for us! Would highly recommend Hotel Smeraldo!

The hotel was absolutely incredible, the breakfast included was delicious and varied, all the service was wonderful, kind and friendly, and it is perfectly located within the heart of downtown Rome, everything is within walking distance and made for a perfect stay. I also wanna shoutout Leonardo from customer service and in reception, his energy, smile and impecable service made my stay all the more wonderful!

The staff was amazing and helpful with everything we needed. Walking was doable but I wouldn’t call it EASY to the main “attractions” like the Vatican or the coliseum. But I would stay there again.

This hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Rome. It is on a quiet, nearly traffic free, cobbled street, within walking distance (2 km - 1.25 miles) of all the important sights. It feels very safe and there are plenty of places nearby offering great food. The hotel is close to bus routes and there is taxi access right to the front door if required. There would be no access by private car and there is no parking in the vicinity. The hotel is well maintained and is spotlessly clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a great continental buffet breakfast each morning from 0700-1000. Our room was in the annex building, about 15 to 20 steps away from the main hotel with a separate secure door. Being an old building, the rooms are slightly smaller than average and are not the usual corporate rectangular box shape - they have lovely character. Although not large, they have plenty of storage, comfortable beds and great showers. They appear to have been recently renovated and are spotless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and it would be my first choice for accomodation on a return visit to Rome.

This hotel is in an ideal location, walkable to most Rome attractions. It’s across the street from a famous bakery, where the hotel breakfast features many of their treats. Our favorite was the breakfast-delicious baked goods, meat selection, eggs daily; but the best was the made-to-order cappuccinos and espressos! The breakfast staff is top notch!! The roof top bar was also great-the view and staff! The one thing I would change-the temperature in the room was mostly unchangeable-and it was hot in December! We opened our doors daily but the cleaning staff closed them while we were out. Overall, this hotel was a great choice for touring Rome, would recommend. (We had 2 rooms in the hotel (deluxe or superior rooms) that were fairly small, but we were not there much. We were traveling with our 2 teens.)

Loved this hotel. It's in a great area to walk to almost everything easily, which was very important to me. Breakfast is outstanding. Very clean, safe and comfortable. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. I didn't find the front desk staff to be very friendly, the only negative. And the cleaning staff wasn't good about re-filling items in room, like tea bags and toilet paper, so be aware you will likely have to request. Still I'll stay here again in a second

Nice friendly and helpful staff, the hotel Smeraldo is tucked away in a reasonably quite part of Rome. We had a good breakfast each morning in the onsite resturant before heading out on our walks. It is well located within easy 20 to 30 minute walks of all the major attractions, the Colosseum being the furthest we walked.to.

The hotel is remodeled, room was beautiful! Easy to get around to all major sites, shopping close by, and the food and wine nearby were fabulous! I would book this again in a heartbeat! Best stay ever
This was my third stay at Hotel Smeraldo. It continues to exceed my expectations each time. The staff were very cordial during our check in. The played Happy Birthday and served us tea and cookies before being shown to our upgraded room. The Family suite was nothing short of AMAZING. The breakfast was the very best we have experienced on this trip. I will continue to use the Smeraldo each time that we are in Rome. The location is so convenient to all parts of town as well as restaurants and shopping.

The staff was awesome especially Leonardo. Very clean and the breakfast was wonderful. My only complaint was that the AC did not work in the room as it is December but the day was warm and we could not cool the room otherwise all great.
