My siblings and I were in town for a funeral. This house fit the bill for being large and close to shops / downtown. However, we were very disappointed with our stay. First, I had a family member with mobility issues. I sent a message before booking asking if there were stairs at the entrance or on the first floor and was told there were no stairs to enter or on the first floor. We arrive to find 2 stairs to enter the building and the larger downstairs bedroom had 1 step. The person who needed a larger room was forced to sleep in the very cramped children's room with bunk beds. The downstairs shower is a corner stall shower which the person with mobility issues also struggled to use due to its small size. While this situation is unique, we felt mislead about the stairs. Second, we were visiting during a heat wave and the air conditioner didn't have enough force to keep the upstairs bedrooms cool. We roasted while the people on the first floor were chill. Furthermore, the Nest kept turning up to 74 degrees every 12 hours, so at midnight the AC would turn off. Since the sensor is downstairs, those sleeping upstairs were sleeping in more like 85+ degree heat. Third, the primary suite upstairs smelled slightly of a sewer. There is a pipe clean out pointing into the room which I suspect is the source of the problem and the reason for an air freshener plugged in next to it. Fourth, there were dark fingerprints all over the door jams and switches. I don't think they've done a good scrub of the place in a while which would be nice during Covid. The blinds were damaged in the living room and the smoke alarm was open without a battery in it. This place needs some TLC and then it would be great.
