Really nice place. Close to everything (ski, shops, Ben and Jerry's Factory, etc.). Super welcome from the staff. Nice inside pool and hottub :)

The hotel is conveniently situated, there is ski shuttle service. However, the breakfast is just acceptable and the area around is not very lean.

My son and I come here every ski season for a long weekend. It’s not super luxurious, but it feels like Vermont. Cozy and friendly. And the hot tub is a great night cap after a day on the mountain, we plan on visiting the commodores every year

Great staff super friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Only complaint was our room had a definite animal odor.

I asked for a check in at 1pm. They said my room would be ready at 2:30. No problem. The common area was comfortable and stocked with local literature. Enough to kill an hour. At 3 pm I was told my room was ready. Solid. You can’t ask for a more prompt and cordial check in.

Older property, but very friendly, welcoming staff. Ready to help in any situation. I would definitely stay again. Don’t expect new and modern hotel has character.

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is a little dated and could take some updating, employees were friendly and helpful. It is nice to have a bar and restaurant onsite.

The room and the inn itself are dated and so with the linens and comforters. There were strands of black hair on the pillows, reddish brown stain on the linen that aligns to my bottom while lying down such that I had to put the laundry bag over it. The white linens under the comforter are crumpled and look worn out giving me the impression that someone had previously used them.

Loved the casual atmosphere. Breakfast not fancy but available all the way to checkout time. A table where you could leave unwanted items or pick up what someone else left. the friendly staff seemed to rub off on the other guests who were friendly also!

Old Inn, staff very pleasant at check-in. It is a basic Inn style room, nothing fancy but a clean safe place to stay not to far from main attractions in Stowe.

Not worth the cost
This hotel was built in 1985 and nothing has been to maintain it or upgrade it since. It wasn't a "bad" stay, but the hotel is old. There is a difference between "historic" and "old". This place is old. A few things struck me as tacky as well. After paying $200+ for one night we discovered the knob to turn the AC was removed apparently in an attempt to keep us from using it. I realize it's October, but the room was 76 degrees. Also there is a box with a suggested donation of $1.00 for their advertised "complimentary" coffee. The sign says it's to "keep costs down". The continental breakfast is English muffins and toast, but no effort is made to display this in any appealing manner. Each guest has to remove their selection from the bag as if you were at home. The night staff was very friendly and the location to Stowe village is convenient. I would say the owners would benefit from investing some money back into this property to renovate it or consider being more budget friendly. This combination of old and costly is off putting.

Could have been better
The room had a faint musty smell, the bathroom needed upgrading, and the AC was lackluster at best. The breakfast was very disappointing, especially for the price of the room.
