This property has the potential to be wonderful! But it is in desperate need of upkeep the smell when you walk in the lobby is overwhelming, and I don’t know if it was because it was in October but the game room wasn’t open, they weren’t serving breakfast and they shut the pool down the weekend we were there all things that disappointed.

The property is outdated, not super clean, will not stay there again. It was our 2nd time there, and it was run down a lot more than the 1st time we were there. We had to change rooms upon checking in. The carpet was dirty and it smelled horrible. The pool was disgusting. My kids took showers right away. They said their skin itched. There were a lot of amenities not being offered due to covid, but covid is not affecting other hotels in the area like this. It is such a good location and great staff. That is the part is the best, but we will not be back.

It was a good trip. The water park was ok, part of the park was closed off, but the rest was good. The snack bar was not open either, but we made the best of it. The room was good. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep. We enjoyed ourselves and would book them again.

This hotel was nice especially for the price, the view was beautiful from our room, there was a couple water slides a pool down when we went but we didnt go for the warerpark so it didnt break our heart. Great stay all in all.

This place did not live up to the reviews. The outside looks nice but the inside was brown. Like, original 70’s brown; walls, rugs, bedspread, blankets, furniture—EVERYTHING aid brown. One can only imagine what germs were on all of those brown surfaces. The bathroom seemed clean, but not even any water on the property for drinking other than a vending machine. Not a repeat for us. The Veteran at the front desk was very attentive and enjoyable though! Kudos to him.

Very Disappointing!!!
Pillows were awful !! Bathtub was dirty. Overall cleanliness very poor. Ratings online were above average which we found to be misleading!! We will not be back !!! Very disappointed!!!!

Receptionist was very rude during check in. When room was booked, was told over the phone we would receive a beach view room- which we did not. The "clean" towels in our room had stains on them, which was disgusting. The waterpark had half of the rides closed down. The waterpark was also very dark, with limited lighting. The entire facility seemed very run down.

The balcony on the beach side made the difference. Enjoyed the view over Lake Huron and enjoyed the sound of the waves. Room was on par with expectations for the price range. We stayed for 2 nights midweek off peak so it was very quiet. The property is conveniently located, close to dining and shopping.

Family Time
We really enjoyed our stay as a family. We used the beach & the fire pits & were in the pool area alot. The only thing we would have liked to be able to use would have been the big slides. Other than that the hotel was nice, relaxing, & employees were helpful & hospitable. It was real nice being on the beach & close to town. Thx! 😊

Having teenagers at a water park when the Big water park slides are out of order was not the best plan. Would be Ok for staying with small kids but there should be a disclosure that parts of the water park are not available as we would have selected other accommodations with our teenage travelers.

Smoke filled hell
Room smelled, on beach side first floor with slider out, screen inoperable, people playing corn hole 3 feet from patio. Early evening 4 fire pits were lit 20 feet from room with on shore wind, room became smoke filled, was told to shut my window, it WAS shut. They had NO other rooms, said it was my problem. They didn’t have to do anything because I had booked with Expedia, I could take it up with them. Checked out at 8:30, other hotels were full, drove 4 hours home arriving at 1 AM. I was unable to attend the event today, missed ferry rides costing $70. Worst experience I have had in a very long time. It was obvious that I was being treated poorly, because I had booked thru you…..

The reception staff were kind and friendly. But the property is not clean at all starting from the room (bed sheets seem like used and room smells like not ventilated at all), hallways are not clean, the indoor pool looks unclean and smells like alot of bleach is added to water.

We stayed 2 nights and I have nothing to complain about. The staff was very nice and allowed me to switch my room to a balcony room at check in. I recommend this place to anyone! Watching the ferry come in and having a view of the bridge is priceless

Used to be our favorite stop but this time we were very disappointed. waterpark was horrible, some things were broken. Room didn't have microwave as stated. Laundry was out of order. Staff was friendly but I only saw two people per shift.
