  • This stunning family-friendly Maine getaway leaves little, if anything, to be desired with striking architecture, thoughtful design, and tasteful décor. In short, no detail has been missed at this magnificent waterfront home. A perfect way to spend your summer in Maine.

    The home is situated with an eye to the ever-changing ocean view – virtually every room in the house has a water view. The wraparound deck at the front of the house sits just 75 feet from the ocean and overlooks a thoughtfully landscaped lawn, gently sloping to Rockledge's 240 feet of private waterfront.

    The outdoor space offers coastal living at its best with lawn and deck furniture, a Weber six-burner stainless gas grill, a picnic table, and a granite firepit. The main house is open and bright with a living/dining area adjacent to a large fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is sure to please the group chef, thanks to the stainless appliances, which include a Viking gas range, dual wall ovens, and a warming drawer centered around an eat-in island. The living room, which has sliding doors to the deck, has vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous locally sourced granite fireplace, and a 42” satellite TV, as well as a Bose sound system.

    The upstairs primary suite is private and situated on the opposite side of the house from the other bedrooms. The primary is designed with comfort in mind, while also sporting a 26' satellite TV, an en suite with a walk-in shower, and ocean views, the latter of which all bedrooms possess.

    Other amenities include WiFi for the entire home, wall-mounted air conditioners/heaters and ceiling fans in the bedrooms, a ceiling fan and radiant heat in the living room, and an attached garage.

    All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

    The gas fireplace is not for guest use.

Absolutely loved this home...extremely comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen which all us cooks loved for the couple nights we stayed in. Close to great lobster shacks or fine dining! Sadly, the heat didnt work in the living room (battery might need (changing) and carpets could use a fresh cleaning. I would suggest cutting the foliage at the water as the view from the Adirondack chairs was obstructed. All in all beautiful home and the owner was very nice!

The house is beautiful, comfortable, solidly built, with a great layout and classic Maine water view with lawn and rocky beach. Kitchen is well provisioned. Location is fantastic, 25 min from Rockland, not in a touristy area. However, is important to be aware that the owner was in-residence at the guest house on the property that looks onto the lawn and toward the house. The owner was very mindful of our privacy and went to work every weekday.

Not the ideal vacation, but like I was on vacation with my parents with the owner’s cottage facin...

The view was beautiful, but unfortunately, the owners cottage faced the Home you rented and the front yard was her front yard as well very uncomfortable

Spectacular Location and Home

Beautiful house right on the water of Long Cove, facing the end of Clark Island. Exceptional landscaping, comfortable furnishings, foodie-friendly kitchen and three big bedrooms. Lovely artwork throughout. Convenient to St. George and Rockland alike.

My family and I were greeted by the owner who stays in a cottage literally facing the house. Felt we were watched the whole time and I was a kid again even though I’m an adult and payed thousands to stay there. Very uncomfortable situation the yard for the kids to play in is her front yard too. Had to keep all the living room blinds down because it faced her cottage. Owner lives in cottage facing this home. Not ideal at all.

Rockledge is truly beautiful.

We have rented many houses in Maine over the last 30 years, and Rockledge is one of the prettiest. The house is lovely, and the grounds very inviting. There was plenty of room for the six of us, ages 3-70. The kitchen was large and well appointed, and it has air conditioning which is a big plus in warm weather. A few caveats - the owner is in residence, perhaps 40 feet away in the cottage. There is only room for 2 cars as the owner's car takes up one of the spaces. There is a lengthy book of rules which guests are supposed to adhere to. Access to the "beach" is tricky. There is no walkway, only jagged rocks which small children and their grandparents would be advised to avoid. Despite this, we all had a good time. Pictures of the house and grounds do not do it justice.
