We thought we would save some money on a 1-night stay in Winona. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Upon entering the room, the temperature was quite frigid. We turned on the heater, which was noisy and could not keep up, even cycling off/on. I tried to flip on the TV, but the remote would not work, so we manually turned on the TV and found one channel and volume that would suit us. Nearing bedtime, I thought I would shut off the light switch by the door, and discovered that this also kills power to the television. We decided to turn in for the night on the extremely firm bed with one thin blanket. The heater didn't seem to be doing anything other than making noise so we unplugged it, and ended up sleeping in our jeans and hoodies to stay warm. It was a long, cold night, but hey, we saved $100, right? The next morning we thought we would grab something from the continental breakfast. Much to our surprise, the hallways and hotel lobby were actually colder than our room! We decided we'd spend some of our savings by treating ourselves to a hot breakfast at Perkins across the way.

couldn't walk around the room with bare feet--the floor was gritty dirty. The light system was wired badly--the room had the main entrance light on if any other light would function. Lack of electrical outlets. Room was freezing when we came in--the wall heater was off in winter time. Took 3 hours for the room to warm up a bit and the heater was extremely noisy. Had a bathtub, but unable to stop the drain. Breakfast offering was terrible.

Thank you for staying at super8 but this review does not fit to us. our room is 170 sqft and PTAC unit 10,000 btu so in 10 minute Room will be warm and we have really good breakfast with lot of option and do not forget the boiled egg n waffle that is the best choice for customerwe have 2 way light switch in Room so if you do not know the staff is always there to help you.please always reach out to staff for convenient of your stay if any difficulty.

We got two rooms. One room had an aftermath smoke/cigarette smell (Room 209). The other room was great. Besides the smell, we had a good stay. I would stay again.

I stayed in room 104. The lights by bed didn’t turn on. Had to move bed, filthy under bed. Only 1 plug in outlet worked and then after awhile, would come unplugged. There was a power strip that the lights apparently needed to be plugged into. Room had smell to it, linens on bed stained. Bedside table had dried drink marks on it so hadn’t been cleaned. Won’t return to property. Only interaction with staff was check in. Left before 7 am and did express check out, dropped key in box.

Strange smell throughout, front desk person couldn’t initially find my reservation, was kept awake by the noise of the person(people) walking above my room- Floor/ceiling kept squeaking/thudding, my daughter found an old mascara stain on the pillow case.

This property needs some TLC. How hard is it to replace a bathroom mirror so you can actually see out of it? The bathroom sink backup out of nowhere. Beds were uncomfortable. Outlets needs replacing as your items don’t stay plugged in. No outlets next to the bed. Very disappointed.

Very clean property. All of the staff was very professional and courteous. Smoke-free room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. There was a coffee maker and coffee in the room but no cups. Drinking water tasted like chlorine. Very convenient to the places I needed to be. It wasn't a horrible place to stay but, it wasn't my favorite.

I liked that they had waffles for breakfast. Unfortunately the line for the 2.5 minutes per waffle took so long I didn’t get to eat with my husband. Not a lot of choices. Toast or hard boiled eggs or cereal or a waffle. Non dairy milk would have been nice as well as more creamer options. The room was visibly dirty, it’s an older hotel and it used to be smoking because you can smell it. There’s no elevator or any other amenities. The beds were dirty one so much so that I wouldn’t sleep in it. The room smells like a mixture of old water cigarette and grossness. The bathroom was also dirty and the rude phone call from someone else at the hotel at 7:30 am got laughed off by the front desk staff.
