Nice place with good vinery. Good restaurant ja nice pool to relax. 10 am bit too early to check-out, at least in those cases, where you come at evening.

Pettymys
Huone ilman parveketta suuri pettymys, tämä olisi hyvä mainita isolla huonetta varatessa ettei parveketta ole tietyissä huonetyypeissä. Nyt pettymys oli suuri. Ravintolasta saa vain 2 tai 3 ruokalajin illlallista, ja huoneesta puuttui kokonaan lista huonepalvelun listasta. Tätä piti lähtee erikseen kyselemään. Eli jos haluat syödä edullisemmin, se tulee tehdä omassa huoneessa.

Rip off hotel - first 2 room categories no views
Huge disappointment in general. The first 2 room categories do nort have any views at all. The standard rooms do have a window but it is such a big joke - 50 cm visibility to a tree BELOW GROUND level!!! The terrace rooms are just almost as bad. Yes they have a terrace with 2 meters visibility to bushes below GROUD Level!!! Hey - who the idiot has designed this property. Nothing here apart of the coffee and tea at room. Not even free biscuits nor a bottle of water unlike at the cheap motels. The most funny thing was a visit to the gym&swimming pool. The ”lady” at the spa reception refused to give us locker keys when visiting the gym and afterwards the pool. To her opinion lockers are ONLY for the customers purchsing treatments - what??? Was she waiting an entire football team to visit her distinguished very tiny spa at the same time? So rude service at this price level - totally unacceptable! The pool is poorly kept because there was mould in many places around the pool. Also the jacuzzi chairs were very dirty at waterfront. Apparently nobody cleans here so be aware and wash properly afterwards! Waste of money and highly misleading marketing with the photos. There are much better choices here. Also restaurantwise.

I ran into car trouble on my way to Balgownie, which meant I was left stranded without a car to get home to Heathcote. The staff were so accommodating and kept my room open in case I needed to stay another night, which I did. Given my stressful circumstances, everyone at the property was just lovely and made it easy for me to work, relax and sort out my car troubles.

Balgownie had everything you needed for a relaxing time. The on site wine tasting, restaurant, spa, and pool was a great way to spend some time and relax.

Room was spacious but cleanliness was a concern as furniture was dusty and shower and toilet were dirty. Additionally, indoor pool was in average condition and area around the pool was quite dirty. Staff were excellent and very lovely in all our interactions.

Room is too basic. No artwork. No USB ports. Daily room service was terrible with messes, towels, tea, coffee not replaced. No shelves and drawers to unpack into. Had to go to reception frequently to get stuff sorted that should be standard hotel service. Light switches not working and not in logical places. I expected far more from a resort of this reputation.

We had booked to celebrate our 20 year anniversary and was met with utter disappointment. We had plumbing issues in our room and the staff blamed us for causing and made us feel awful. The room flooded and stank. We were unable to use the toilet and bathroom. The service was very lacklustre and overall had a very poor experience.

Pool and gym facilities are not to the standards of a 5 star hotel. They need an upgrade. This hotel would highly benefit if it had a good quality sauna and spa. Buffet breakfast very poor quality. Not good value for money overall.

Loved the place. Rooms were spacious and clean. The design and layout of the entire hotel was beautiful. Breakfast quality was amazing and the staff, very polite and helpful. Also the hotel is a short drive from Healesville so there are other dining options nearby.

Beautiful location, stunning winery, loved the pool. Blinds don’t quite cover bedroom windows and with the lights on all night outside the bedroom is quite light for sleeping.
