4 Aug 2019Take the scenic road rather than the motorway. Three reasons - 1) no annoying tolls, 2) more to see, 3) the motorway is ABSOLUTELY HEAVING with big lorries.

A quick walk to the train station and ferry ports. It's also super close to the main town which offers a lot of dining options.
Although the reception is located by the main street, you need to go up several steps beside the building to get to the back where the rooms are located. There's also no elevator so be prepared to lug your bags up and down some stairs.
Very good options for breakfast (mostly cold, with scrambled eggs and bacon offered) but quite a generous spread.
Although it can be quite easy to hear traffic from the main road outside the windows, there's not much traffic in the first place because of how small the town is. Overall, a wonderful stay.
