I marked it as five stars as I believe it would have been a great tour if we did not go during the new year. We went on this tour on January 2nd. We were unable to go to the imperial palace as it was too crowded and the Sendioji shire was impossible to really see as well. If you plan to go to Japan during the new year or cherry blossoms season be prepared for temples and shrines. Our tour guide was great and spoke very good English.

The locations visited were excellent - but the tour guide did not give enough narrative on what we were visiting. She definitely tried hard, but I have taken many other tours in foreign countries that have been much better.

Good information. Interesting sites. Some time for seeing just what you want. Not on a leash the whole time. Speaks English well. Helpful, answers questions. Personable, friendly.
