”This was our first time in Chicago. My sister and I saw this Best Western as a convenient choice for the Pokemon GO! Fest of 2026. Wow, what a beautiful building! Very safe too. The lot is lit so brightly and is next to a small banquet hall so we weren’t scared about coming back to the room very late. The room was beautiful; comfy sheets, updated TV and nice amenities. The staff were so friendly to us upon check-in and held our bags both at check-in and check-out so we could go explore the city...

”I knew we were in trouble when I saw the carpet in the hallway. In the room the floor was sticky. Every step in the room we could hear our shoes peeling off of the floor. The shower was dirty. I had to wear crocs in there. The baseboards were filthy. There were streaks of varying colors on the walls. It had a heavy, sour/sweet weird smoky smell. We asked if we could move rooms but we couldn’t until the next day. I will say the towels were clean and plentiful. The female staff were friendly and...

”My room was dirty, and smelled like wet dog or mildew upon arrival. Was highly upset and the hotel was fully booked out so I could ‘t even ask for another room. The shower was really bad at keeping the water inside the shower-well which caused the water to seep into the carpet no matter how many towels we put down. Couldn’t take a shower without there being a ginormous puddle of water on the floor. & the ac barely worked which made the room even more humid/mildew smelling. Would not book this...

”The hotel was filthy. The carpeting in my room was so soiled that it was black and the pattern couldn’t even be seen. I saw the maid using a broom to sweep the carpet not a vacuum cleaner. The screen was ripped so I couldn’t open the window for fresh air. It smelled of smoke. It was rundown in general, chipped furniture, dirty bathroom. There were two dogs in the room next door that barked constantly. My room didn’t get cleaned on day 2.”
