”Very sweet girl efficiently checked us in. Our room had a sliding door and faced the fjord. The view from there was AMAZING! They also have a very nice (and large) lawn area with tables and chairs. The weather was nice, so we sat outside with a drink from their bar and just soaked up the view of the fjord and the mountains. Good breakfast buffet, also. This is the only place you should stay in Sogndal. ”

”The folks at this place bent over backward to make our stay comfortable. We arrived just minutes before the kitchen closed and they very happily told us to get ourselves settled and to come down when we were ready. At no point did I feel like they resented our lateness. ”We stayed for two nights, before the ski-ing season had begun. There were building works outside on the acces road side but our bedroom faced away from them and looked up the slopes. Our bedroom was very comfortable and warm. Breakfasts were good with a good choice of options and the dinners were excellent. Hotel staff were friendly, approachable and efficient when it came to dealing with our queries. I am not a skier so I cannot comment on what a ski stay might be like, but it was a good base...

”The property is easily accesible, where the main building is just on the side of the main road. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful, everything was explained to us clearly. The kitchen and bathroom were well maintained, the only downside was that the cabin is not newly decorated and has shown its age at some places. Otherwise, this is highly recommended for family and friends to stay close to the nature of Norway in an enjoyable way.”
