”I understand that the place is very old, but I can't tolerate the lack if cleanliness. The carpet was old and full of dtains, my bedside table hadn't been dusted for weeks, something had been spilled on the front of the fridge, and inside the fridge, 1 spare blanket had stuff stuck to it and needed washing, and the whole placed smelled musty and nasty. A little TLC and the place could be nice.”

”The room was not what we had booked. No airconditioning, but a pedastal fan that ran for 15 secs every 10 seconds. It was an extremely hot and humid day and was a stuffy room. Many steps to the bedroom was rickety and very creeky. We got our money back and luckily found a motel ”

”Parking was easy. Check-in was difficult as hours were limited and their phones didn’t work to discuss later check-in arrangements. Check out was 10:00, but was asked to return the keys by 9:30.. Room was cute and historic looking. Breakfast is lack lustre. Real eggs and butter vs “spread” would have made all the difference. Similar priced, but nicer places are nearby. Look around first. ”

”We wanted a quiet overnight stay in the countryside close enough to the Wivenhoe Dam. Woodlands is in a unique and delightful setting on the top of a hill. You need to have reasonable walking ability to enjoy the gardens. Because it was a Monday night we travelled about 5 kms to the Sundowner Saloon on the Warrego Highway for dinner. This added to our happy experience. ”

”No real views of the vineyard as such. Winery was closed the entirety of our 5 day stay which was 29 dec to 3rd jan so couldnt do a wine tasting - we were not advised that they would be shut the entire time. House was not bad. Beds were comfy and the rooms are big. Wasnt the cleanest though and there were quite a few cockroaches. No gas for the bbq outside and had to be reimbursed for supplying it ourselves. The property itself wasnt very tidy either. Large piles of debris left in plain sight in...

”The cottages are beautiful in every way. Super clean and freshly renovated with stunning views of the grounds. Morning and afternoon brings array of bird life to your deck and a short stroll around the property will bring you into contact with an array of animals from mini cows to goats horses and even chickens and rabbits. The owners are very quick with communication and help with anythingvyou need. Will definitely be returning in the future and recommending to all our friends.....”
