”When we arrived the room was 83 deg. at 9:30 PM. We switched rooms to one that was originally 77 degrees; manager very apologetic. Our room had a large, dead roach under the coffee table, and the toilet took over 10 minutes to fill between flushes. When we went down stairs for breakfast there was a roach on the couch in the lobby. The breakfast was waffles, bagels and burned, lukewarm quiches; juice machined didn't work and the place was not being cleaned, or kept up by staff. We chose not to...

”Room was falling apart, I had to use clothes hangers to hold up my shower curtain rod, the toilet had some small bugs coming out :/
And the AC would shut off in the middle of the night due to no movement, so it would be hot.”

”Clean, spacious rooms. Great breakfast. My only quibble is that I’ve visited this hotel twice, six years apart, and on each visit they had huge industrial fans set up in the lobby to dry out a flood. The noise made it difficult to carry out a conversation at the reception desk and it did carry through to the breakfast area too.”

”Property has been renovated, and the room was clean and fairly nice. Beds were comfortable. Elevators seem to be old - one was not working on check-in, and there were often lines to wait for elevators. Signs warned to limit elevator use to 5 passengers at once, so they must break down often. Biggest problem was thin walls and a large group of guests making noise from 3:30-6:30 AM. I could hear every word they said and all their loud laughter and slamming doors. The AC system can't be set to have...

”What a gem! A joy to stay in an inn run by people, not a corporation. Room just funky enough to be interesting, with thoughtful restoration and modern upgrades. Fast internet AND a book of Poe's works in our room. Walking distance from everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Richmond!”
