There are two different, but lovely beaches near by: Sosua beach has crystal clear water and services, Alicia beach is more local and without services, it is calmer. When we arrived it was pouring rain and it took hotel attendant more than 20 minutes to walk us one by one with the smallest umbrella ever to the reception area. Obviously we were drenched. ”Wow, Garden by the Sea is a little Oasis in Sosua. Nikki is an incredible host, and really makes the effort to help her guests feel comfortable and welcomed. The rooms were very clean, and it was so easy to feel relaxed. My bf and I stayed here after backpacking around DR a bit, and we ended up staying our last week here because it was very comfortable.
