”Perfect location for a Newport visit without being downtown. The shuttle service is a huge plus. Restaurants in the area are walkable (1/2 mile) as well the beach and Cliff walk. Room was good, bed comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. Would stay here again. ”

”The hotel and area were beautiful; however, I did not think the price, around $600 a night, was at all worth the stay. There were no additional perks, such as a welcome or nightly reception. With $45 a night for parking as well, it was a bit of a disappointment. We love the area, but will be looking for accommodations that seem more reasonable next time.”

”We are very happy to recommend Forty1. Our family of 4, with 2 teenage daughters accommodated nicely in the room of 2 queen size beds, city view. The gas fireplace did not work, though, but it did not play a big role in our stay during the summer hot season in July. Very attentive staff.”

”Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic...

”The property consists of two rental units but this fact is not obvious from the pictures on the website. We did not get the rooftop deck with a view of the harbor. That belongs to the other unit. The sewer pipes are enclosed in the paper-thin walls of the first floor bedroom of our unit so every time someone flushes the toilet, uses the sink, takes a shower, you can hear water flowing through the pipes followed by loud clanging sound. Along with the loud music, people talking, chairs scraping...
