”Had some issues upon arrival. We had a reservation for a triple room, but they weren't willing to have us stay in such a room(even if they have the room type, and I had reserved it) . We ended up in a standard twin with additional bed. To hotel is ok. Breakfast quite good. Location a bit off, there wasn't much sights closeby, and the area was quite boring at night. A good perk with this hotel is their shuttle bus, very nice drivers and very convenient to get to/from Kyoto station every 30min if...

”Two blocks from Gojo station which makes it easy to commute. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable. The meals in the restaurant were 10/10 and theres a 7/11 across the street and convenience store next door. Would recommend :)”

”We had a room on the 10th floor (executive floor) with extra charge. The room was quite worn and cramped. We noticed that the normal price rooms on the the 6th floor were recently renowated and much fresher with the basic price. The service was exellent and the free shuttle bus service was a nice surprice. ”

”Very close to the Kyoto railwaystation. Negative: You have to self- check in with using an automate. Staff speaks very poor english. When we bought the breakfast, i tried to pay at the counter before entering to the breakfastroom. They instead said, pay at the desk when you are leaving the breakfast. Still the waitress came twice to disturbe us with the bill when i was eating (a croissant in my mouth) asking how i would like to pay when we leave. Not a nice experience.”

The room was literally minutes away from the front desk. Superior twin room was spacious for local standards and impeccably clean. Breakfest buffet seems to favor quantity of varieties over quality. ”We stayed twice at the Yura Hotel while travelling in Japan. In our opinion there is nothing that compares with the level of hospitality, quality of service and the accommodation itself. Upon arrival we were greeted with extremely friendly staff that went all the way to make sure we felt welcomed. From the registration onwards the entire stay was made as easy as possible. While the staff may not be fluent in English, their hospitality and effort makes up for the potential lack in vocabulary....
