”From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

”In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though.”

”Before you book, know that the primary business here is as a VERY popular family friendly pub!
Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, though there's an expectation that you already know things and the anticipation that you are going to ask things that are wildly off target.
The room was spacious and fairly comfortable, though needing a bit of attention--peeling paint, saggy loveseat, better pillows.
A good place for a base to explore the region and basically be a place to sleep between...

”I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The option to request both breakfast and dinner was convenient, and the meals were quite good. I also watched a Champions League match during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a great experienc.”

”For an overnight stay on a budget, this was fantastic. The bed was comfy, decent pillows and duvet, the sheets and towels were lovely and clean and I really liked the brand of toiletries. The hotel/pub is really big and could do with some updating, but this would needs huge investment, so I'm not surprised at overall condition, but it's functional, clean and tidy.
There were two bars one for side was food/restaurant and the other drinks, darts and sport on the TV. Lots of locals, I had a great...
