My opinion of Blue residence is very mixed.
Communication before our stay was good, we requested a pool view room, which they agreed to and organised our transport from airport to hotel.
On arrival, late at night, we were directed straight to reception, had to sign an agreement of rules and regulations ( first time i've ever had to do that in a hotel) and pay the full amount for our 7 day stay. We were then shown to our room. As we entered we tripped over the loose door tile and was told "dont worry we'll fix that" It remains loose and a trip hazard.
B1 G3.Our promised pool view was non existent (completely obscured by a large gazebo) The accomodation was ok, pretty much what you would expect for a low cost Dahab residence, but the fridge was dirty, bedroom light hanging off the ceiing and you would be very hard pushed to "self cater" with the very limited contents of the kitchen.
We were only provided with 2 towels and had to repeatedly ask for toilet paper.
Our room was not serviced at all during our stay, and when we requested clean towels, they insisted we gave back the first two before we could be given any more. There was no bath mat and whilst we had a reasonable size balcony there was no furniture on the balconys to sit on.
The situation of Blue residence is good, just off the main road, close to the banks, a shop and an easy walk to Mashraba and the town. Music at the pool is very loud and you have to listen to what the bar staff like! No alcohol allowed on site.
