”Beautiful historic property and lovely room. Really enjoyed the tub, and the outdoor shower was a surprise. Wonderful for anyone who enjoys old estates. ”

”Simply the best there is. The facility is beautiful and insulated unkept, but the real treasure are the owners and the staff. JP gets a special mention - he’s awesome. We’ve tried everywhere as we’re in Johannesburg often - but for the past few years we go straight here. ”

”It is a very eclectic hotel with unique lounging areas on the different floors. Staff were great and breakfast was good. There was an issue with no curtains or shades on the door to one of the balconies in our room but being on the 3rd floor mitigate any exposure. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in Johannesburg again ”

”Every aspect of our stay was intentionally welcoming. From the welcome beverages to the bedside treat, we felt cared for every moment of our stay. The tour of the sanctuary allowed us to have an inside look into the life of Nelson Mandela. Each person at the sanctuary told us more about the beautiful history of his time there. We highly recommend a stay at the sanctuary to all who visit Johannesburg.
The meals were exceptional and designed with a global perspective. Each dish has its own story....
