8. Penelope Villas

Kefalonia

”We loved our stay at Penelope Villas, the villa was very well kept, spacious, modern, well equipped and in a great location. With just 4 villas it was quiet, but literally a 5 minute drive from Sami main promenade with a great selection of restaurants and shops. The only issue was the air con wasn’t working properly but the owners were very quick to get it fixed. The grounds were well kept and spacious, the pool was perfect for cooling down and there were staff regularly cleaning the pool,...

”We had incredibly lovely and luxurious time at Canale Hotel & Suites during our trip to Kefalonia The customer service was impeccable: everyone was from start to finish very friendly and professional. Our stay started with a surprise: room upgrade and complimentary sparkling wine. The room itself was lovely: spacious, stylish, clean and seemed to be brand new. Bed was comfy and the room had a beatiful sea view. And most importantly: there was AC and the rooms were really quiet. The hotel is...

It is so peaceful - all we could hear was the sea. The villa itself has literally everything you could need including a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and a fantastic coffee machine. Andreas, the owner, is the best host ever, on arrival there was a welcome pack of food and drink provided including wine, beer, juice bread,...

13. Almyra Hotel

”Fabulous hotel which definitely feels more like 4/5 star than a 3! Friendly and exceptionally helpful staff, especially Eleni on reception. An easy 15 minute walk downhill into beautiful Fiscardo but the hotel also operates a regular shuttle bus to take you down or bring you back . Many of the guests return year after year which is always a good sign. Beautiful views, great breakfast and lovely bedrooms. The pool area is great and sun loungers were always available. Couldn’t fault a thing, we...

Kefalonia

”We stayed for a few days to attend a wedding in Lassi and we had an enjoyable stay in a nice location. Lovely staff- breakfast was nice and the pool snacks were even better! Can highly recommend their Greek pizza- it was delicious! The only things that stops me giving 5 stars is that the curtains in our room were very thin and we had a bright light shining in all night- blackout curtains would be good for the rooms. I also didn’t like that guests could smoke anywhere including by the pool but...

”the accomodation is very charming, the outside space is the real plus.it is very small inside, it was perfect for 2 people but I wouldnt chose this place for more people.the location is good, very close to Sami and the local tavernas are some of the best on the island.we forgot plugs in the wall as we left and were only able to get one back as it seems the property wasnt checked thouroughly after cleaning.the garden furniture is especially comfortable and cool. unfortunately there was a lot of...

19. Argostoli Marina Suites

Kefalonia

”We had a great stay here, the staff was so responsive and the house keeper was so sweet. The rooms always were super clean, it is in a great location right on the marina and walking distance to the beautiful town of Argostoli. The parking sometimes gave us trouble as it was a very busy time of year and the town is packed but as long as you get a parking spot before 8 and leave your car there for the night you should have no problems. Nothing bad to say about this place.”
