”The Gut Stiluppe just finished its renovation, and while the new parts look stunning, the upgrade has yet to proliferate to all parts of the place activity.
Specifically, it feels the kitchen needs to really improve - morning eggs arrived at odd shapes (like scrambled eggs that weren’t scrambled before fried), and coffee with regular milk after we explained of a lactose intolerance.
I think it will take a bit more time until the service gets to the level of facilities.”

”The hotel is very comfortable. The spa area is fantastic. Breakfast is good. The staff needs some training. It's essential the staff greet people in the breakfast. There were some other deficiencies in attitude of staff. There was only few possibilities to enjoy typical hospitaly and friendliness of Zillertal valley. Geparkt wurde in einer Tiefgarage, 2,15m Einfahrtshöhe, perfekt für unseren Bus.
Dann geht es per Aufzug zur Wohnung. Die Flure sind recht eng und man muss recht viele Türen passieren. Man sollte also nicht...
”Our stay was really comfortable. The skibus stops right in front of the hotel and if you were eager enough you can easily walk the 700m to the closest lift that takes you to the center of the Mayerhofen ski area. We had half board and the food was really really good.

”Everything about this stay was 5 stars! The super friendly family-owned establishment is clean, cozy, welcoming, and the service is amazing. The owners thought of all the little details that make a big difference. The food in the restaurant was delicious for breakfast as well as dinner. The spa/sauna was fantastic after a day on the slopes ”

"Stayed for a week in a single deluxe room with a balcony towards the main street(in the "new" building). A lot of noise through out the night from returning party people, so bring earplugs!
The room was tidy and clean. The bed was not so comfortable, there was some sort of waterproof layer between the sheet, made you sweat like crazy. But all in all, it was a nice room. The hotel personnel and restaurant staff was very nice and friendly.
The spa is also quite good, nothing spectacular, some steam saunas didn't work but the Finnish sauna was good and there was a nice pool to cool down in.
Breakfast and dinner, I don't understand at all how so many people praise the food? Are you not used to normal or quality restaurants at all? The food was eatable but nothing more. This needs improvement!
I can recommend going with the ski guide Stocky, he has a nice sense of humor and knows the valley inside and out and you get to visit better areas than Penken with door to door transport! Important to note, they leave at 9:00 from the hotel and return 15:45."
