”My wife and I were traveling to the area to see a concert at the Darien Lake Amphitheater and booked the Asa Ransom House for an overnight stay so we didn’t have to drive back so late. ”The hotel is really run down. There is a musty smell. The front desk couldn’t hear me on the rotary phone. Strong smell of bleach and there was some beetle bug in the bathroom. It is close to Darien Lake, so that was a plus.”

”This was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The rooms were spacious, there was so much classic charm with updated and modern restrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts was absolutely delicious. We will definitely stay here again!”

”Property was good. Could be updated. It was clean. Wish there were rugs in the room. Restaurant had limited menu. Overall for the price it was good.”

”Unfortunately, what was advertised through Expedia was not the reality we experienced. The “free parking” for the airport was at an offsite that required us waiting for a shuttle to follow us to then pick us up and return us to the hotel. As well, they were going to charge us $25 for that experience. They didn’t own the shuttle so the times we needed in the morning were not available because of their shift change. Ultimately, we drove to the airport for long-term parking at only $14 per day.”

”Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. The first issue was simply finding the entrance. The hotel sign doesn’t line up with the actual parking lot, making it look like you’re supposed to turn into an empty lot if you follow the sign. ”Had a 2 bed room for 2 occupants and had 1 towel..2 washcloths and 1 hand towel… shower was filthy and the BR door was taped together with black tape.. that didn’t stick so was not together… curtains didn’t close.. the ridge in room tray below freezer was gross… just unreal.. can’t believe EXPEDIA LIST THEM .. the pictures of the rooms are nothing like the rooms … floors a filthy… just gross!! They should refund my money for such a crappy listing!!! I left one day early!!”

”Our room was the worst room the hotel could have given us. The cleaning staff used Swiffer products to clean floor and surfaces. The floor was sticky and left a residue on our products left on top of counters. The toilet was wobbly. The floors in bathroom and lighting was not great. The couch was stained and ripped.
