”We can highly recommend this place. Location is beautiful and the service is excellent. Everyone are very helpful. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Big thank you for Miguel and everyone else working there. This was highlight of our Portugal road trip.”

”Very friendly staff. Nice, clean and big room with a huge balcony. Good and fresh breakfast. I really liked our stay here.”

”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of.”

”Great place”

”We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Do Rosso. The location was fantastic, making it an ideal place to stay. The property was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was spectacular, and the food was absolutely superb. Every detail made our stay special, and we truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay with an excellent location, outstanding hospitality, and exceptional dining!”

”O lugar é surpreendente! Vista de tirar o fôlego, quarto impecável, o Jorge foi muito solícito. Nao pretendia voltar ao Douro, mas agora vou repensar. Parabéns!!”

”Lovely room, exactly what we expected but the best part about our stay was how helpful the staff was on several occasions.”

”This is more like a hostel than a hotel. You're expected to make your own bed and keep your own room clean. However, it does provide a reasonable budget alternative to the upmarket river front hotels. ”

”It’s a wonderful place to stay. It feels like staying in a very comfortable home, and that’s what it is. Stylish, old-fashioned with lovely sitting room and dining room. The gardens and vineyards are a delight and it’s a very happy and personal place to stay.”

”Great stay. Fantastic location, close to stores, restaurants, sightseeing.”

”⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at Quinta São José do Barrilário in the Douro Valley! The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely accommodations, and stunning scenery made our stay feel truly special. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Portugal’s wine country. A memorable experience and a place we would love to return to!”
