Dear Dirk. Thank you for your comments about your stay at the apartment. The big room in the apartment have a Classic and Very old unique Mahogany Wood the noise is from the wooden bed its not from the brand new mattress.The apartment don't have a/c but have enough fans for every room.There are enough pans and pots small and large under the boiler unit cabinet in the kitchen.Driving a vehicle is recommended if you wish to visit sites in the capital or explore the sea side etc. Previously guests have not mentioned about humidity but that is a possibility during the winter or raining season on all properties in Portugal and that can be sorted by switching the electric fans also available at the property .
