The house and location were great and met our needs well. The host was quick to answer the phone and took care of most requests quickly. The only thing that could have been improved was there wasn't enough garbage bags, kleenex and toilet paper for the number of people who were staying here. But except for that it was a great stay. Fun annual family vaca week memories!
House was great for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. Long Lake is always our first choice and this property’s sandy Lake-bottom and very gradual way it gets deeper makes it safe and fun. We lucked out with the weather, which always helps.

Great lakefront cottage for kids!
It was a great cottage, our kids had a blast with the beach right out front. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms and eating space for all of us. Felt like we had plenty of room with 2 kids and 4 adults. Would 100% stay here again!

Perfect
We've been renting homes for 38 years; this home was spacious & wonderful. Having the lake right out your door perfect, Long Lake is shallow enough for young kids, and anyone who just wants to float and enjoy the water. Nice clear water where you can see the bottom, (good thing bc my glasses fell off). If you want to fish or do water sports this lake has it all. The home was as advertised...you won't be disappointed with this rental.

Great location on lake front
Nice property that was very family friendly. Nice decor and open space in house for family to gather. A little dirty upon arrival and minor repairs/updates needed. Overall great property to rate with a family. Owner was professional and friendly.

We went here for our annual family vacation and it was wonderful. Hosts went above and beyond with amenities and communication with me. We have children ages 10 month to 12 yr and all were able to enjoy the swimming and playing without ever leaving the house. Would highly recommend this home for families with young children.

Large home with lake frontage and dock. Kids had fun swimming and fishing. Weather wasn’t the greatest but nothing you can do about that. A lot of work for only four days, recommend a weeks stay if available. Host was kind and prompt to answer texts. There were no problems.

Great for littles!
We visited long lake with my husbands family. We had 4 children 5 and under. It was absolutely perfect for them. The water was nice and shallow, and they loved the little slide. The property was clean and comfortable. It did get a little hot one of the nights we were there, but Annetta came installed AC in the kids room. We were very thankful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

June 2022 Family Vacation
We came up north with our daughters and their husbands and another couple friend of ours and our greyhounds. It was large enough to handle us all and really nice. The owners responded very quickly to our needs and was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. We rented a pontoon for the week and enjoyed that even though we had weird weather our last two days- like 40 mile per hour winds and very rough waters. The marina people were nice enough to come drive the boat back to their place since the lake was certainly a challenge. All and all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Great for summer
I would love to come back in the summer. It is right on the water and downtown Alpena seems like it has cute shops in the summer. Just be prepared to bring every spice, oil, and leftover containers yoi need. We stayed on one coldest weekends to attend a fishing tournament. The kitchen and living area was always freezings. While the bedrooms got so hot, we were sweating. The host was amazing though. Quick to respond and very kind.

Great Place
The property is perfect for families to have fun. The communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed seeing the stars shining bright and smores around fire pit. The communication with the owner was excellent. There was a issue with the heat and the owner showed up 10min after I emailed her with a repairman. Rockport State Recreation Park is 15mins from the house. My family found some fossils at the park which was pretty cool.

Wonderful week vacation on Long Lake!
Enjoyed my week vacation instantly as I arrived in the driveway until the final day of check out. The sunshine had just set when we arrived, and the sky was absolutely beautiful throughout our stay. My family of seven adults, one child and two pets loved it just as much! The outside if the home is clean and well taken care of. The next door neighbors on both saids were incredibly friendly and welcoming. In the inside, everything was clean and welcoming. The home is open and has a giant counter top for gathering. Especially loved the windows in the back to gaze at Long Lake. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms so a group is comfortable. The outdoors and the backyard was the best part to sit and enjoy nature. It was very nice having an upper and lower patio. We rented a pontoon boat for the day and lived having the dock available at the beach. It was super fun walking way out in the shallow lake! Highly recommend for a wonderful vacation on the lake!

Fabulous weekend!
House was very clean when we arrived! The house and area was perfect for our family of 14. Beautiful property on the water with a beautiful view. We rented a pontoon boat from Dodge Marina and had a spectacular weekend!

Stay on Long Lake
Beautiful place, beautiful area on the beach. Upon arriving the whole building was over run by spiders inside and out. Other than that the place was excellent.

Quiet Gataway!
Great family getaway. Waking up with a beautiful view every day. Property was nice and clean. Easy check in and plenty of room for everyone!! One thing we would suggest is to maybe work on the deck a little bit as once you get to the end of it it gets a little wobbly. Other than that we recommend 100%!

Perfect lake house
We really enjoyed this lake house! There was plenty of room for our family of 4 and the lake was just a few steps off the back deck. We were able to dock the boat right at the property and our dog loved jumping off the dock to catch balls, swim and play in the sand. It’s a newly listed property and we had a couple of things that we needed after check in, but Annetta was great to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful lake vacation
The owners were very quick to communicate and were very accommodating to our needs. The house is comfortable and clean and was perfect for our group of 10. The lake is quiet and serene. We rented a pontoon for a couple of days from Dodge Marina which added to the fun.

My family had a wonderful stay at this property on beautiful Long Lake. We had a small hiccup with the electronic lock box not working upon check in, but the owners were quick to respond and get it resolved. The home is slightly dated, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay with plenty of room for a large family. We loved the sandy, shallow lake frontage that was perfect for our little kids to enjoy the water, and great for mooring our boat. The only small suggestion we would make is to have a grill available onsite for renters. Overall, we really enjoyed our week and would definitely consider returning for a future stay.
