Sweet Retreat Near Beaches & Downtown

Experience the Sunrise Side in this lovely and spacious home.
Whether you're travelling alone or with family and friends, this home has something for everyone. From the fully equipped kitchen to the office space and kids play nook upstairs, to the two outdoor seating and dining areas, you'll find the rest and relaxation you're looking for.
If the outdoors is calling, you'll find plenty of opportunities nearby to respond! Jump on the Bi-path, rent a kayak or canoe, go fishing, or take a swim!

There is NOT Central air in this home. There are window ac units in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms.

Smoking is not allowed on the premises.

All linens and towels will be provided.

Guests can enjoy free high speed internet with wi-fi and USB equipped table lamps in the bedrooms.
You will have full access to the home. All bedrooms are located upstairs, as well as the office and second bathroom.

We live nearby and are readily available if you should need anything during your stay. We are very quick to respond to messages, and look forward to providing a wonderful stay for our guests.

A recent guest review said "The communication is top notch, too! It was a wonderful stay! It’s exactly what I hope for with an AirBnB stay!"

The Bi-Path is near by, and many enjoy bringing their bikes to get around.

All three bedrooms are located upstairs. Ceilings at the top and bottom of stairs can be low for taller people...please watch your head. Also, as with older homes, upstairs bedroom ceilings may be at different angles in areas...see pictures for details.

There is not cable TV at the home, but there are smart tvs so you can stream using your own accounts.

There is NOT central air in the home.

Marvelous!
Communication with the owners was nearly instantaneous. They were gracious and welcoming. The house is older but beautifully redone. It is welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and feel like home. The kitchen is well stocked. The appliances are nice. The home is two story, and with two kids, it’s a life saver to have a full bathroom downstairs. I’m not familiar with housing architectural types (craftsman, cottage, and so on), but I was fascinated with trying to figure out which parts of the house were original and which were redone. The flooring in the bathrooms just blew me away. Stunning! We loved our stay in this home and will definitely contact them again when we are back in the area.

Northern Michigan Visit
Home was clean, comfortable and conveniently located to Alpena amenities. An easy walk to restaurants. Being situated relatively close to downtown we were concerned with the possibility of noise disrupting our sleep but it turned out to be a non-factor. Neighbors were cordial and respectful. A very enjoyable stay.

Week in Alpena
Although the weather was disappointing several days, the home was great . It is located walking distance to downtown and local restaurants. The area appeared very safe . The best part was how stocked the home was with supplies. I tend to over pack and there was no need for that at this home. Shampoo, other bathroom items, kitchen supplies, and plenty of other household items were supplied in the home. The owner was very responsive and checked in to see how things were going . We enjoyed our stay very much in this home :)
