”I stayed for a day in Coimbra. The hotel was about 10-15 min walk from the railway station. Much of it could be walked in shade, so even the heat didn't bother me. The hotel itself is a modern, very clean place. Many hotels have a surprisingly small breakfast room, here it was large enough, even though i happened to be there at the "rush hour" i easily found a seat. Make sure to get a room with a terrace, though note ground floor rooms will have no view as they’re blocked by a wall of shrubs. Breakfast is decent, lots of fresh fruit and juices.
