Just what we needed
We just spent a week at Francesca and Pedro's property. It's situated between Altea and L'Albir - perfect walking distance for both locations. The property itself was clean and comfortable; everything you need to get started on your holiday is provided, and the hosts live next door and are always on hand if you need them but never intrude. The rooms are nice and cool, and the outside area gets the sun all day from different angles. The pool is fantastic for cooling off at any time of the day; we loved it especially in the morning sun.
The beach is an easy 5-10 minute walk away but a car is useful for getting out and about and doing the shopping at Aldi or Lidl (5 mins away). The area is mostly quiet; there's a garage close by but the mechanics aren't very noisy. Despite the main road being close by, too, you can't hear the traffic at all - but you CAN hear nightingales at night.
There are some great bars and restaurants in L'Albir, and there's plenty to do in the area. We loved it and hope to be back some time!
