Picture this: you turn down a quiet private street, the trees open up, and there it is... your own little slice of Lake Winnipesaukee waiting for you. Welcome to Loon Cove, where lake days start right in your front yard. Drop your bags in this beautifully refreshed 3-bedroom cottage and head straight for the water (or the slopes).
Inside, everything feels fresh, crisp and thoughtfully decorated, with cozy spaces designed for actually spending time together. The open-concept kitchen makes family meals easy, with plenty of seating between the dining table and breakfast bar. After a full day outside, pile into the comfortable living room for games or a movie, or sneak away to the sunroom overlooking the water, quite possibly the best seat in the house for a quiet cup of coffee or a good book.

Outside: Grab one of the four kayaks or the paddleboard and explore the quiet waters of the cove before the rest of the house has even finished breakfast. The sizeable private sandy beach is perfect for little feet, lazy afternoons and toes-in-the-sand mornings with coffee. Prefer to stay on shore? Claim an Adirondack chair or sun lounger while the kids play on the lush green lawn. Break out the cornhole boards, start a family tournament and settle in because there are TONS of places to relax outside.
As evening rolls in, dinner can be enjoyed around the covered picnic table overlooking the lake. Then gather around the beautiful propane firepit, sink into the Adirondack chairs and watch the last light disappear over the water. This is the kind of place where everyone seems to stay outside just a little longer. Bringing a boat? Your 25-foot private dock gives you a front-row seat to the cove!

This is a dog-friendly home —we love hosting well-behaved pups!
To keep the space comfortable for all guests, only 1 dog is permitted (no cats or other pets)

No need to lug all your beach gear with you! The shed is loaded with inflatable floats, tubes, noodles, beach chairs, sand toys, and 2 paddleboards for guests to enjoy. We also provide baby gear, including a Pack ’n Play with an extra-padded mattress, changing table and pad, and a high chair/booster seat.
✅ Good News! Your stay includes coverage for accidental damage and mishaps. We take your safety and security seriously, and this property has special local compliance requirements of a signed rental agreement and ID verification. To make this easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account, it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

No parties or large groups. Please observe Alton town quiet hours from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. No jumping or diving from the dock. Guests use the dock and waterfront amenities at their own risk.
