”Back for a second year. The property is a beautiful house in North Durban, near a small shopping area. My bedroom was very large and well-appointed, with a large bathroom attached. This year, things are not quite as new and well-maintained as last year. I enjoyed meeting other Comrades runners staying at the house, this year including elites. The best thing about this house is the housekeeper Nklaka, who is unbelievably friendly, caring and efficient.”

”Stay was good. Shower 🚿 head needs some attention. Leaking. Mattress needs to be changed slowly caving in in the centre. Sleeper couch mattress is horrendous. Sleeper couch was grubby. Needs a good clean. Overall the place was spotlessly clean. Came across 1 cockroach. Pool was good. Cleaning staff and security are very pleasant. Front desk not sufficiently manned. ”

”I love staying in old well-kept hotels. The Royal Hotel is a perfect example. I stayed on a high floor facing the harbor. Always something going on out there from a tiny lone sailboat to a whole sailboat race to a tugboat on mysterious course in the wee hours. ”
