The Wine Down Retreat is the ideal cabin living for the perfect getaway. When you enter the cabin, the main floor features a sprawling living room with a wood-burning two-way fireplace and kitchen with the master suite with a jetted tub and shower option. The kitchen has a Keruig and drip coffee pot, electric kettle, and all the amenities for a comfortable stay.

We are available by message for any assistance, but otherwise, we give guests space to relax and explore.

Angel Fire, New Mexico is a scenic mountain village in the Sangre de Cristo range, known for its year-round outdoor lifestyle and breathtaking beauty. Residents and visitors enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Angel Fire Resort in winter, then transition to hiking, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, and zip-lining in the warmer months. The area’s high elevation brings cool summers, golden aspen forests in the fall, and powder-filled winters, all framed by expansive mountain views. It’s a peaceful, community-oriented place with a relaxed pace, star-filled skies, and access to the famous Enchanted Circle scenic byway, making it a perfect blend of adventure, tranquility, and natural charm.

You can access the home anytime after 4pm by using the code provided with your check in instructions. We ask that you respect our home and the quiet hours of the community. Our home is not baby proofed, and may not be ideal for families with very small children, however, children are welcome at your own discretion.

When you enter the cabin, the main floor features a sprawling living room with a wood-burning two-way fireplace and kitchen with the master suite with a jetted tub and shower option. The kitchen has a Keruig and drip coffee pot, electric kettle, and all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Each room has a television with DISH Network. Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with a queen bed. The third upstairs bedroom includes king bed in a mastersuite with its own private bathroom. The loft that overlooks the living room has a queen size pullout couch. The lower level features one private queen bedroom and a second kids room with three sets of bunk beds. There is a great game room with a pool table, ping pong table, and it opens onto the lower level back porch. There is a small kitchinette connected to the gameroom as well. Great big beautiful views from every window, the home places you right in the middle of all the beauty Angel Fire has to offer in a private setting. Close proximity to National Forest. Washer and Dryer with laundry detergent are available for your use. This home also comes equipt with your essentials which include paper products, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Also an assortment of coffee and teas are provided as part of our welcome package.

The village of Angel Fire does keep the roads plowed in the winter months, and we also clear the driveway anytime it snows 4" or more. We do require that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle. We also keep the deck shoveled for you to ensure you have complete use of the deck at all times.

If you are in need of a late check out (checkout is 10am), we can assist for an additional $30 fee. Any additional fees will need to be coordinated and paid prior to stay.

Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
