What We Love
Step into a slice of Old Florida when you step inside this adorable 1926 cottage. Complementary antiques and books fill the home's interior, accenting the space's vintage appeal. The private backyard paradise offers endless sun-soaked leisure between the heated in-ground pool, attached spa, and authentic putting green. The full kitchen makes it easy to plan and prepare delicious home-cooked meals. The cottage leaves you just steps from the beach and within walking distance of local shops, bars, and restaurants along Pine Avenue. The historic Rod and Reel Pier and the AMI City Pier are each within a mile of the home.

Check-out time: 10:00 AM
All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
*There is construction directly behind this house
Pool heat is included and maintained at 80°F. Additional pool heat to 85°F is available upon request for $32 per day plus tax. A 48 hour notice is required. Heat may not be available if temperatures drop below 65 degrees. We will not be accepting payments for pool heat for the months of May through October

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The owner was very responsive so they get an A+ for that. I gave the overall “okay” rating more because the house could definitely benefit from a little TLC. It literally seems the place hasn’t been touched in 20 years- with much of the furniture old and flimsy. There was a very old bench with a broken leg in the side room, the light next to the bed is ancient and worn (very flimsy from too much use), and there were burnt out bulbs in two of the ceiling fans. The old refrigerator was also covered in small rust spots and was missing the crisper drawers on the bottom. In addition the refrigerator filled with water in that area so just not a good experience there. The outside is beautiful - the front being very old Florida and the back yard updated and “fun,”though the hot tub not being a true “hot” tub was a little disappointing. The beach is also just a block away and it’s a very quiet part of the beach so that was really nice as well. If you are looking for old Florida, this is definitely it. But if even a $2000 investment could be made to replace the old, dated lights, broken furniture, old refrigerator, and even adding a microwave, would make such a huge difference.

This cottage definitely has potential. First of all, the location is perfect! Beach is literally around the corner and shops/restaurants are a very short walk. The backyard is big and cute. Now the downsides: The hot tub / spa is advertised as such but turns out it is only decorative. The putting green was a big selling point for my kids but there was no putter, only a 9 iron. The house would be perfect size for 2 people, maybe 3. We had 4 and it was difficult to be comfortable. We stayed for 5 days and were only given 4 towels for 4 people. No washer to do laundry so the towel situation got gross. The outdoor shower was also broke and didn’t work. Lots of little things around the house like that. With a bit of love and care, this place could be super cute.

We were pleasantly notified that we could arrive early before 4, but didn’t tell us that the code did not work until 4. We had to call and get the code for the key. There was a musty smell in the house. But the house was clean. The bikes were a great surprise. And the grill. Liked the pool the hot tub was not hot. And low pressure jets. The toilet bowl was really small made for a child. Nice Shower. Enjoyed the screened in porch and putting green. Loved the location but wasn’t expecting construction and no privacy for most of the day. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Wee Cottage.

We left after the first night because the conditions were completely unacceptable and materially different from what was represented in the listing. The home was surrounded by two active construction sites at the rear and a dilapidated abandoned house immediately adjacent to the property. There was constant loud banging and drilling beginning around 7:30 a.m. and continuing through sundown. Construction workers also had direct sightlines into the backyard, making the outdoor space unusable and eliminating any sense of privacy.None of this was clearly or adequately disclosed in the listing. While the word “construction” was mentioned, it did not convey that the backyard would be unusable, that privacy would be compromised, or that there would be persistent noise throughout the day. Nothing in the listing prepared us for the reality of the conditions we encountered.In addition, the pool was advertised as being heated to 85 degrees, which it was not.I contacted the host/property manager immediately and was told I was not eligible for a refund due to the vague reference to “construction” in the listing. As a result, I lost the full cost of the stay and was forced to book another hotel the next morning.I feel misled by the listing and deeply disappointed by the handling of this situation.

The Wee Cottage is a charming older home. The furniture is dated but it fits the cottage theme. The sofa bed mattress should be updated. The TVs had cable access but not access to log into streaming services. The backyard is very nice with the pool and putting green. We enjoyed sitting by the pool, but the house next door was under construction (no fault of the property) but it was noisy as we were trying to enjoy time at the pool.Our biggest issue was the additional daily fee to heat the pool to 85 degrees. This fee was not disclosed in the listing when we booked and was only mentioned when we contacted the property management company a few days before our trip to make sure the heat would be on. The location of the cottage is fantastic. It was only a 3-minute walk to the beach. It was a short walk to the main road with shops to explore.

Old florida vibesBoth my partner and I were born and raised in Florida, and we’ve seen a great many changes -particularly to our coastlines. We love Wee Cottage because it reminds us of what once was. If you are looking for a shiny, razzle-dazzle, modern home, keep scrolling. If you want to experience a cozy, old Florida vibe, this is the place. It’s small, and clean. The putting green and pool are a great backyard touch. We just really loved being in this space. We spend a lot of time in Anna Maria and a couple of our favorites were lost to the hurricanes last year. I’m so glad this old girl survived because she’s now become our ‘place’.

Secluded property, very quiet area. Lovely pool. Comfortable furnishing and decor. Just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Had a totally relaxing time. Perfect stress relief getaway.

Stinky house

There is a very bad smell in the whole house. Furniture is broken and dirty. Refrigerator doesn’t work properly. Fence was being removed next door so had no privacy. Luckily the property manager was a super star and found us a beautiful house to move into.

Cute, quaint cottage. Loved the old Florida style decor. House inside was clean. Window air conditioner units kept house cool. The one in the bedroom was noisy though and kicked on often. Shower is a good size but the bathroom is very small. Pool was warm and great! Loved the putting green. Would've been nice to have a couple other putters though. Screened porch with table and chairs was very nice. Landscaping and the outside area needed some TLC and clean up. Hose to fill the pool had two splits in it. Homes around the cottage were very run down and an eye sore. A lot of construction! Maybe a result of the recent hurricane. Location to the beach, restaurants and shopping was fantastic! Enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Easy and close access and location

Easy and close beach access. Location nearby all amenities and necessities. Did not see that the a/c units were window units, the bedroom unit is AMAZING, however the main room unit was mediocre. The Wee Cottage is adorable!!!

Great, but wish it was cleaner!

We loved the wee cottage location and charm but home & pool were not cleaned well. It was a bummer since we vacation in AMI often & would have loved to rent it again if the house would have been cleaner. The pool was lovely if it would have been cleaned & if the hot tub worked would be nice and should be mentioned in the description of the property that is just for show.

Not worth the money

Upon arrival there was a very strong odor in the entire home, which we eventually determined was probably the smell of all the wood paneling. We then noticed the stains on all of the furniture, further discovering that the 2 chairs in the living room are broken on the sides and the back. There was some sort of rodent droppings on the kitchen counter next to the paper towel holder with hair. When we woke up Friday morning there were additional droppings to the right of the sink. In an attempt to use the tongs from the utensil container, they were greasy and spotted with dirt, leading us to believe the kitchen would be unavailable for our use. The bed had ants on the headboard, between the mattress and headboard, under the pillows and blanket as well. No one was able to sleep on the bed. The bathroom had hair already in the top cut in inside the shower. The pool was green and filled with debris which they did rectify. We spent all of our arrival evening attempting to find another place to stay, knowing that we'd lose all of our money we had already paid but to us it was worth it. We were unable to find another suitable location, forcing us to stay in an unclean home that they said they would send a local team out to inspect and they never came. This was a major let down; I booked the trip 6 months in advance for my dad and I, all to have our weekend ruined by these conditions.

Great Location!

House was clean and very close to beach. The pool and spa were dirty and none of the 3 property management people could help operate the spa. The house doesn’t really have any beach gear so you will need to rent. We came back from beach to a Vacasa guy roaming around the house checking fire extinguishers without notifying us. The house is close to everything shopping and beach.

Quaint Cottage

Comfortable bed and living area. Pull out sofa was mediocre for sleeping but was ok for young teens. Nice kitchen. Really cute pool and golf area especially if it was cleaned up a little. Provided 2 golf clubs and balls, pool toys, floaties, 2 bikes to use. Screen porch was a pleasant area to hang out and eat.

Property had charm of old Florida. House was basic but provided everything we needed. Master bed was comfortable with nice linens. Mattress and linens on sofa sleeper could use an upgrade but our kids didn't mind. Pool could have been cleaner as we had to skim upon arrival. Overall nice property and ideally located for walking to many options for adults, kids and more. Would rebook.
