”Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. ”

I was told there were places I could drive to but after a long day didn’t really want to. I got myself showered and changed. ”The staff was very hospitable and helpful. The location is in easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and transportation. The room was large, it had a pretty view and was spotless. ”

We were allocated a a room on the top floor which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and all freshly cooked. Overall a very enjoyable stay.”
