Family-friendly, Cozy and Peaceful Villa with Pool in Apt en Luberon, Provence

Living in the beautiful landscaped French countryside without the hassle of country-living. Located in a tranquil neighbourhood, our villa is perched on the hills surrounding the 'fruit-confit' town of Apt, also known as the capital of Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon. Our villa is ideally located as a base to explore some of the most breathtaking sights in south of France. Villages like Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Buoux, Lacoste, Goult, Menerbes, Rustrel, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Mt Ventoux are nearby and make potentially good cycling day-trips destinations. Daily conveniences like supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, hairdressers, clothes boutiques are located within the town of Apt, accessible in 5mins by car. A family-friendly and fully equipped space- a home away from home!

The home, Villa de l'Olivier, was built in 2011. Preserving the signature exterior style of homes in the Provencal region, it boasts a modern interior furnishing. Our home can accommodate up to 6 adults and 2 children with its 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A garden centred around an olive tree, a 4 x 8 m pool with deck chairs and parasols, as well as an outdoor terraced dining area with a BBQ, makes it the ideal place to chill out with family or friends and enjoy the famed sunny, blue skies and warmth of the South of France. Wifi is available so you could be remote-working with magnificient Luberon mountain views.

One only need to read Peter Mayle's famed "A Year in Provence" to imagine what Apt and the surroundings are like. The region is famed for its lush, green mountains and valleys as well as landscapes dotted with wine chateaus, vineyards, lavender and coquelicot fields, cherry blossoms depending on the season. The natural beauty and formations also make the region conducive for cycling, climbing, hiking, river canoeing, mountain biking- a haven for sports-enthusiasts. If you are more Cezanne than Louis Armstrong, art schools like SCAD Lacoste may be your hangout.
