”Booked this last minute on our way to a cross country baseball tournament and were pleasantly suprised!! The property was uniquely decorated, clean, quaint and charming. Very unique and we loved it! The staff was very friendly, breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast, great coffee- overall we loved it and would recommend and stay again!! We usually stay at Mariott or similar- so this was so different for us!! Small family feel- so neat!”

”The TV didn't work. There was a long sheet about how to get it working but who has that time? How about using the remote as usual? Every hotel should have blackout drapes but they did not. People moved into next room with a non-stop yipping dog. The stay overall was great but for price these issues need attention.”

”Was ok. Clean but property was outdated, which I guess you could say, added to the charm. A good coat of paint, some dry wall and tile fixes would freshen things up. Husband thought our room looked worse than others, so maybe we were just unlucky and got a pet room, (no carpet) even though we didn't bring a pet.”

”This is a really great hotel if you want to explore Galena and its surroundings a bit. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the staff was super nice and super helpful. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the AC was quite loud, but this seems to be fairly standard in this area (I had this at other hotels too) so I shut it off in the middle of the night and opened the window.”

”The breakfast and service were great. The house and rooms were clean.I would have liked more than one bottle of water per person for a two night stay. The hot tea,coffee and cookies were nice but there weren’t mugs to use.”

”Paul was a great host. Showed us around the property and our room. Was very polite and welcoming. This is a very quite place and perfect for a couples get away. We had the tower room which has a whirl pool at the top. Me and my wife loved this place. The property has a gazebo, fire place and a small pond with waterfall. Wry relaxing”
