”Joseba ontving ons heel vriendelijk en gaf via de app allerlei tips over restaurants. Het appartement was heel.schoon en ruim. Er hangt een grote tv en er staat een fijn bankstel. Het is een rustige buurt en alle mooie steden van het Baskenland zijn binnen 1 tot 1,5 uur bereikbaar. Vitoria is dichtbij.”

”I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel in the heart of La Riola, and I can’t recommend it enough! The location is perfect, allowing easy access to all the nearby wineries. A couple of things would need a bit improvement: dinner was a big disappointment especially considering that we are in Spain. Also, it is difficult to get to Laguardia or other nearby towns as there are only a couple of taxis operating out of Laguardia, Haro etc.”

”We’re just sorry we arrived late and had to check out early for wine tastings in the morning. A thoughtful modern renovation of an old stone farmhouse set in a tranquil village overlooking vineyards. Our breakfast of fresh juice and fruits, cheese and a selection of salmon and cured meats was prepared by a very charming local woman. When I return to the region, I will definitely include this special small hôtel on my itinerary. ”

”The staff at Valdelana were fantastic. In October, restaurants are not always open but the hotel staff were informative. There are not dependable taxis in Elciego so it is great if you have a car. The cellar tour and tasting is not to be missed. I will stay here again and again.”
