”Seems like a very new hotel. It is very clean and what you would expect of a fully functioning Hilton Garden Inn. Did not have the breakfast but good coffee is available in the morning for free. Buying extra water bottles or other drinks is easy at the front desk. All other appliances inside the room worked. The only complaint I had was that I could not get the laundry to work on the 7th floor. Although there was a credit card reader for 2 washers and dryers, neither was operational and I had to...

”I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Excellent price, right downtown, and the rooms are beautiful— basically a full apartment with kitchen. The staff, especially Cheyla, went out of her way to help us and made sure our stay was perfect.
The room was secluded with a HUGE terrace — we honestly forgot we were in a hotel. We didn’t want to leave! ”

"Old, worn down hotel with very uninspired people. The first room I was given was terrible quality and so loud with street noise it was impossible to sleep. I was forced to pay for an upgrade to a "club" floor, which is basically the same room but comes with free soda, as it was the only room available that wasn't facing the street. IMO I should not have been charged for that.
Overall this is a 2-star hotel and I would avoid it if you can find any other options. It's about a 30min walk to Georgetown, decently safe although some shady people in the streets nearby. If you're considering taking this as a base to explore Georgetown, I'd recommend you to think again.

"Positive things first: location is great (near metro and whole foods, walking distance to Georgetown, DuPont circle etc.), the room was big and had a real kitchen. Some of the staff members were super nice and helpful and some were not. But the room was not only really outdated but partially almost falling apart. And the cleaning was also so and so or then the room was just so worn-out that it just looked dirty no matter how much cleaning was done. Not going back before major renovations. "
