”My review is solely based on the room. On a stay of 4 days, I'd rate it at 3/5. Possibly a bit lower based on the cost. The room was decent, met our needs for the visit. Proper utensils, dishware and such were provided, kind of. I was surprised that the only cookware provided was 1 single pot, no frying pan or anything else. ”The staff were very rude. I had 2 reservations with individuals checking in at different times. When it came time to check in for the second reservation, I was told it was cancelled. I gave them the confirmation number for both reservations and I was told it was cancelled. I called Expedia and they verified it wasn’t cancelled an attempted to call the hotel but they wouldn’t pick up the phone. My room was large, with a nice kitchenette, all the needed amenities, a very comfortable king size bed with a nice headboard, and room was attractively, decorated. Also, a great value my room rate was significantly lower than other hotels, and with higher quality Moody Street, within walking distance, has a wide variety of bars and restaurants. The second day, I had a whole different experience; as I was approaching the reception, a man saw me and immediately left his post and went into a side room. Waited few minutes and went to call him. ”My stay was amazing and I will definitely be staying at Ginkgo House if I ever find myself in Cambridge again! Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, my room was very clean, and the potential noise that was mentioned was very minimal and did not cause any issues!”

”The hotel is clean and has a nice design. The shuttle service e.g. to Harvard square is handy although it does not return between 3.40-6.40 pm. Breakfast is great for American standards. Extra bed in three person room was surprisingly good. Biggest problem is the bar in the middle of atrium. If your room in by that atrium hole (ours was in 11th floor), you will hear A LOT of noice.”
